    I like Cognac, but I can't say I drink it regularly. Every time I've tried I think it was Hennessy, and it was good.

    Rum is good. Whiskey tastes like ***. Jager is only good with Red Bull. And I have no problem drinking girly drinks.

        Yea, I will back this up as well.

        Never seen anyone pour down shots of vodka like it was water than when I saw that same Russian chick and her male Russian friends just take back shots. I had to bow out early.

        But, I'm done with liquor anyway. It was a good run. I'll miss my rum (still my favorite), but it's beer all the way from now on. (Ok, I still have an unopened bottle of Jamaican rum so that has to go some day).

                I just find this pretty amusing. While I was in college rum was the girl's drink of choice (along with vodka). Never have I heard of tequila called a girl drink. A majority of girls I've met won't do shots or sip it cause it tastes nasty.

                I'd never heard USF's designation of manly/drinks elsewhere...must be a regional thing, or something within his social circle?

                    I said it must be a regional, social circle thing. That got ignored in the mudslingin. Plus I have alot of alcoholic older friends. I think vodka thing has to do with the fact alot of us drink it when we are young cause its the cheapest liquor.

                        Seriously, though, you did mention the regional, social circle and I do think that has a lot to do with it.

                        I grew up to watching my aunts and uncles and grandparents pounding rum into their cokes all night. Like Russians and their vodka, I imagine it is difficult to find someone in the Caribbeans that doesn't drink rum.

                            I'm half Jamaican and I'm not a big fan of rum at all. I'll drink it if I have to but I haven't ordered it since I was over 21. The over-proof rum like Appletons is even worse IMO. Most Jamaicans I know drink beer by the gallon. Heineken, not Red Stripe despite the funny commercials.

                            To be honest the majority of black men I know, regardless of age or nationality, prefer Heineken. Me too.... that and Corona.

                                    Kilo Kai is weak rum, ABV wise. I had a bottle last summer, it was a sweet rum. Not exactly "manly" if you want to put labels on hard liquor which isn't smart.





                                    As far as what types of alcohol men drink, it varies regionally IMO.
