Yes he was coaching Stanford when my cousin was playing there. Hell even my old high school principal was the dean of stanford, I don't know he is still there or not.

Ummm no Bill Walsh left Stanford for a while and Green was the Head coach from 1989 to 1991. Bill Walsh came back as Head coach of Stanford in 1992 to 1994.

Green was an assistant under Walsh at Stanford early on (77-78), then worked for him in San Francisco.
