Re: Lucid or Precognitive Dreams
I have several Precog dreams, but they are not nearly as vivid as WTF's are. Mine usually are about some mundane part of the day and someone will say something to set off the deja vu.
I have a very bad memory so maybe that is why I don't remember more vivid stuff in my dreams?

Re: Lucid or Precognitive Dreams
You're not writing the Absolutely FINAL Final Destination are you?I have Lucid & Precognitive dreams almost weekly. Precognitive dreams are very interesting, and I've freaked my friends out by some situations before because of them.
I was sitting in the locker room after a basketball game, and instantly realized what was going on, turned to my friend beside me, told him who was getting ready to come through the door, and word for word the conversation that was going to be taking place. He laughed... no more than 10 seconds later, the two come in the locker room, and word for word having the same conversation. He freaked.
We were later driving down the road, told him that the next 5 songs on the radio, and then we would see a bad car wreck. The next 5 songs came on the radio, just like I said, and then we were just getting ready to merge off of the interstate when a car came barreling through the median, overturning. That was a crazy feeling.
That stuff happens all of the time.
Lucid ones are ok, but precognitive dreams are awesome.
I've had times where I realize I'm dreaming. And say to myself you really want to remember this....but I rarely can recall the details. Just the feeling that it was a good dream.Last edited by GAMEC0CK2002; 09-09-2010, 05:06 PM.Comment

Re: Lucid or Precognitive Dreams
yo my freshman year in college, i was going to attend this beach bash was hyped up for it most of the summer , that day got dressed , told everybody i knew i was going for sure . started out the door walking toward it some other friends was like yo come with us and go to the movies. i said no at first but changed my mind. went to movies had a great time. never knowing on the other side of campus a big fight broke out , people running away from the fight people got trampled, got beat up by random people. cops everywhere. i had no clue i'm chillin back at my dorm see some dudes looking for somebody ready to beat up this cat. they run into the nearest dorm which was a all girls dorm. popo came out of no where chasing these guys down they stopped traffic and everything. i find out the next day that all this went down at this beach party i was about to go to.Comment

Re: Lucid or Precognitive Dreams
Oh man I've had the snake dreams. Snakes everywhere, EVERYwhere. Like you said they were on the roof, walls and floor. I go outside and they are literally falling out of the trees. I hate snakes (no real phobia, I just hate the bastards) so those are some of the worse dreams for me.I remember one dream I had that freaked me out as a kid and still creeps me out today. I woke up in my bed and looked over at the bathroom door and my dad was in there getting ready for work, I blink and the next thing I see are snakes everywhere. On the roof, my bed, floors and walls. I scream and nothing happens. I realize I am dreaming and try to wake myself up. Well I think I wake up but however its the same exact dream again. Same order except each time I figure out its a dream quicker. It happens about 2 more times after that as well, I keep waking up in a dream. I finally wake up and see my dad in the bathroom again and think Im still in the dream and start screaming again but this time my dad runs out of the bathroom and calms me down. One of the scariest moments of my life.
I've also had a lot of dreams of flying. These are my favorites, until I realize it's a dream. At that point, I can't get my mind to believe that what I am trying to do is possible, so I can't achieve flight anymore.
That happens with any dream I am having that involves a physical activity. If I am running, I'll realize I am running in the dream and all of a sudden it feels like I trying to run against a current. If I am shooting basketball, I recognize the dream and I can barely lift the ball.
I also have the precog dreams as well and no matter what I say to anyone (well, almost anyone) no one believes me.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Lucid or Precognitive Dreams
Well, if we're gonna get into 6th sense stuff now then I've got a bit of a story. When I was in 1st or 2nd grade I went to this daycare after school. It was actually in the basement of a catholic school that I didn't actually attend and it was divided into 3 sections. A section for infants, a section for toddler and preschoolers, and a section for grade schoolers up through I think 4th grade. In the toddler section was one of those plastic kiddie pools in which lived a turtle that had a habit of getting out and wandering around. One afternoon I was sitting in a chair in the common area of the daycare then for whatever reason, I decided to look under the chair and lo and behold, there's the turtle. I don't think anyone had even realized it'd escaped again.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Re: Lucid or Precognitive Dreams
I have had precog and lucid dreams for sure. I'm never fully aware of my precog dream until the very second I have the deja vu feeling and remember word for word what the person was about to say. It's like a split second. I also had a lucid dream where I was lifted over my own sleeping body and was paralyzed for what felt like a good five minutes until I woke up. Weird. I couldn't even talk, cuz I wanted to scream..hahaComment

Re: Lucid or Precognitive Dreams
Okay, the other night I had a dream regarding a childhood friend of mine who I haven't really talked to in over a decade (although we are friends on facebook). In the dream, I am walking with a group of people near a store in our old neighborhood. I don't really recognize the people I am with. Anyway, as we're walking, I notice some money on the ground ahead of us. We all see it at the same time and run to pick it up.
When I stoop down to pick up the money, I see my friend's ID on the ground along with some other random stuff. I told the people I was with that they should give me all the stuff because I knew this girl and wanted to get it back to her. After getting everything I went into the neighborhood store and put it in the Lost N Found.
I thought it was pretty strange to have a dream about her out of the blue like that, but I didn't really think much on it til later that day. I got on Facebook and saw she had posted a status update (nothing out of the ordinary necessarily except she doesn't post much, like me), and it made me think of the dream. I posted on her wall the details of the dream and just as a joke I said, "Did you get your stuff?"
She was surprised because the very same day she had been the victim of identity theft. She said she had just gotten off the phone after having to get her money put back on her card after fraudulent charges had been made without her knowledge.
It won't prove anything to skeptics, but it is at least documented on my Wall.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Lucid or Precognitive Dreams
I had a dream two nights ago where I became fully aware that I was dreaming and chose to wake up. I've recently begun asking before bed for certain questions or decisions to be answered in my dreams. Surprisingly I've receiving clarification on a lot of things.
This is something I can definitely see myself becoming more attuned with. I've also been considering starting a dream journal. I've heard that a lot of times just the simple act of making an effort to be more conscious or your dreams will help along lucid dreaming and all sorts of insightful moments.
Nice thread!Comment
