    Re: OS Weight Loss 2011

    Good luck 55

I'm getting back on track today. My goal is 32 days straight of eating right to take me to April 1st. Fortunately there are no holidays/birthdays til then.

I don't do anything for St. patty's day...I don't even like to drink.

I'm down to 314 this week. Inching closer to the 299 1st goal mark.

YMCA adult league game tonight. I'll probably lose a pound of water..haha

Plus, I must admit that I did have two peanut butter cookies on Friday that I already regret. I guess we'll see how I did in about 4 hours or so...
What's wrong with black coffee man? There are studies out there that say it boosts metabolic rate, enhances workouts and it's a great energy kick. I personally drink 2-3 cups per day and I feel it's really helped my fat loss.

I wouldn't sweat 2 peanut butter cookies either, they can't be much cals and wouldn't effect much of anything in the scheme of things.

Good job on the weigh in!

I know this might sound like a female thing to say but I'm really happy that I actually fit into an old pair or work slacks today that haven't been able to wear in years. My belt is now on the last hole (shave shifted four belt holes since xmas) so the waist is dropping which is cool.

I've got some decent progress pics taken but I'm a bit embarrassed to post em up.

Isn't it great when pants fit better? Since I started this plan, i've dropped two belt loops, and it's great. To motivate myself more, I went out and bought some medium size clothes which are fairly tight right now, but i'll make myself fit into them better by the time spring rolls around.

Just got my first workout of the week in, and holy crap. I haven't hit the kettlebells since last Monday thanks to the flu, so I basically tortured myself by doing 2 sets of 25 snatches on both arms

              Re: OS Weight Loss 2011

Well guys, I won't know about how my actual weight loss is going for another 28 days or so, as I'm not weighing myself until I finish the first phase of P90x. I just finished plyometrics (day two) and feel pretty good.

Stats when I started the program:

              6'6"
              262 pounds

Not horrible numbers, but definitely not where I want to be. My goal is to be about 230-235 at the end of my first 90-day run at P90x. Really though, if I am 240 or 245 and have changed up my body composition, I will be happy. I am a tall guy so I am going to carry some weight.

I'm just excited about the program. The first two days have been tough and with my work schedule, I am finding it difficult to eat as much as this program calls for, but I am doing my best.

As long as I hit play every day on my DVD player, I'll be happy.

Keep up the good work guys...

55 -- great job man! You're at the weight now that I hope to be at in three months or so.

Thanks, man. I'm five inches shorter than you so I still have a long way to go!

312 this morning. I just went for a tux fitting for a wedding and they had my old measurements and I'm officially 2 sizes smaller than what I was.

weighed in yesterday at 206 - that's down 6 lbs in 7 weeks, with just 1 week to go before my wedding.

not a whole lot of weight, but i was surprised - i haven't been to gym in 3 weeks. 2 weeks were just too busy with wedding stuff and bachelor party - although there were 2 ice hockey games and 2 days of snowboarding in Park City mixed in there. and last week i was sick as a dog.

i can probably squeeze 2 more gyms trips before the big day.

                            I am doing Power 90. Don't think I could handle P90X yet

I started power 90 on December 5th and so far I am down 12.6 should be more but I am still not eating as well as I should.

Nope, but its still a bit disconcerting when you've been watching yourself over the last month and a half.

                              Stuck on 222.

So pumped. I'm winning our weight loss challenge at work over like 20 other people. Down from 210 to 197 since February 1st, which was the first weigh in. Whoever wins gets a month without having to pay health insurance. The final weigh in is at the end of March, so I gotta keep it up.

I really don't even care about the prizes. The fact that this challenge got me to actually stick to a diet and exercise plan and get through that first couple weeks of "damn, I can't eat this?" is enough for me. I know that this diet will be a permanent thing, as i'm not really limiting myself on what I eat, just how much. That, and I enjoy the workouts I do. I've been trying to diet for a few years now, and always fell off the wagon after a week or so out of sheer misery. This weight loss challenge though kept my head on straight, as I flat out HATE losing in anything, so i'm gonna do whatever I can to win this thing.
