After dropping from 196lbs last April to 163 earlier this year, I've been slacking off bad and let myself go back up to 175. I've been meaning to get back into exercising and happened to look at the calendar and saw that there were only 89 days left in the calendar year. So I decided to start P90X.
In previous attempts I've made it as far as about 5 weeks in before life got in the way, but I'm determined to make it work this time. I'm going to slightly modify the program though and substitute running for some of the kempo/yoga/plyo workouts (at least in the beginning) since my cardio levels are pretty bad right now. Plus I just enjoy jogging outside with my dog more than doing cardio videos inside, so I'm hoping it will help me stick to it. I'll probably miss out on some results by not doing all the workouts but I figure if it helps me get through the full 90 days of exercising 6 days a week I'll be just fine.
Going to try and take your advice Jonesy and start getting into working out early to eliminate any chances of skipping workouts after work for one reason or another. I don't have to wake up quite as early as you, probably around 6:30AM but that's still about two hours earlier than usual. I'm hoping to get down to around 155lbs. - 160 by the end of it, I have a feeling I'm going to be practically living in that "Motivational pictures" thread you started for the next three months
