For me, my ultimate goal is to get up to 150, but if I can get to 140 by the end of the year I'll be happy. As of last September I was around 123 and have gotten up to 132 as of a few days ago. Right now I'm sticking to the "eat anything" diet, but once I get closer to my goal, I'm going to start eating better and working out again.

OS Weight Gain 2011
Playing off of the weight loss thread, I'm sure there's a bunch of us here that are trying to put on some pounds instead of drop them.

Re: OS Weight Gain 2011
What do you mean "working out again"?
You should be weight training the whole time so that some of the weight you're adding is muscle and not solely fat.
Unless you're just trying to put on some sloppy weight. lol -
Re: OS Weight Gain 2011
Sloppy weight is the goal until I get up to the 145-150 range.Comment

Re: OS Weight Gain 2011
I've kind of given up trying to build muscle for a while. I'm around 135 and have been for a while. Just seems like no matter how much I work out I don't see any gains. I'm positive that issue is more dietary than anything, having a high metabolism means I need a higher protein, carbs and caloric intake than most, but i can't really afford all the food and etc that's necessary.-Ohio State-

Re: OS Weight Gain 2011
I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who actually has to gain weight. I'm at about 128 right now and if I can get to like 140-145 by year end I'll be satisfied. Once the semester starts back up I'll be hitting the school gym at least 3 times a week.Patriots

Re: OS Weight Gain 2011
6'1 and currently 187 (will get bf% next week and reconfirm weight, but sub 14 roughly)
Looking to get up to 200-205 with around 11-12% bf.
Currently doing a push/pull day for upper body and 1 day of legs with cardio(running) mixed in. Doing 3 days on, 1 off, 2 on currently.
My goals for the year are to work on hip mobility/flexibility along with overall flexibility in my legs to be able to get a deeper squat. i currently struggle with this due to past injuries to both my legs/and lower back. Also trying to improve upper body strength.
Current Weight - 189lbs
Bf% - 12.9
lbm - 164.6lbs
fat - 24.4lbs
Goal Weight - 200
bf% - 11
lbm - 178lbs
fat - 22lbsComment

Re: OS Weight Gain 2011
I've been stuck around 150 for awhile. Workout wise I've been doing 3 days on 1 day off, and it's working well as far as getting stronger. I'm ripped, but I'd like to bulk up, nobody can tell unless I have my shirt off or wear douchebag tight clothes lol. Just can't put on weight anymore. I'll go a month of hitting the gym and eating a lot and drinking protein shakes, and I'll gain 2 pounds. Then I go one day of not eating much, and lose 3. Like last week I was at 153. Then NYE I got hammered, and the next day didn't feel like eating much. This whole week I've been under 150. I guess its a good thing I can drink 10+ beers and lose weight from it though, lol.
Oh well, it's much better than having to eat absolutely perfect to avoid gaining weightOriginally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: OS Weight Gain 2011
I'm at about 135 right now, looking to gain about 25 pounds in the next year while maintaining my sub-10% body fat. First priority: get a gym membership.
I'll check in every once in a while with results.Bears | Bulls | Cubs | Illinois | #Team3Some

Re: OS Weight Gain 2011
This year, my new years resolution is to gain 30 pounds.
I'm 140 now and check in at 5 foot 10.
I want it to be mostly muscle as I am just way too skinny now and it is really hard for me to gain weight.
I started eating the right way about 3 weeks ago (no fast, junk food or soda) and have already gained 5 pounds. I joined the gym and just started working out using a program made for me to gain weight and size.Comment

Re: OS Weight Gain 2011
The only thing that sucks is I gotta find a gym that I can start weight lifting again at, but idk how much it costs or if it'll even be worth it to only sign up for a gym for about 5 months since i'll be leaving in the summer.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment
