    Re: OS Weight Gain 2011

Worked out last night, boy am I sore today. I think it's more of getting back into the swing of things than the weights causing the atrophy in my muscles.

Time to go fuel up and today is my cardio day but I'll work that in after I get off work. I love 24 hour gyms!

      Re: OS Weight Gain 2011

Today was my cardio day, so I ran 2 miles and biked 2 miles at the gym.

Today after my workout, I weighed in at 146.7 pounds.

So I'm gaining weight, most likely water and food, that will turn into muscle as I continue to lift. I'm pumped!

      Today I ate (in order):
      4 grilled pieces of chicken
A Turkey, Ham and Roast Beef sandwich (Plain)
      A Beef Jerky strip
      2 cups of Peaches
      4 Mini Power Bars

      Drank Throughout the Day:
      Myoplex Protein Shake
      Pint of Skim Milk
      A Quart of Skim Milk
      Gallon of Water
      Myoplex Protein Shake

Weighed in today...136.6 pounds. That's up 12 pounds from where I was roughly around Thanksgiving.

Only 4 more pounds to reach my year end goal and 14 more for my ultimate goal. I had no idea I would put on weight this fast

          Is it healthy weight though?

I've put on roughly Ten pounds since I've started eating healthy and working out daily.

For some of you you have fast metabolisms. So you need to just keep on eating.
Don't listen to this guy. He is basically saying Eat chips,Drink soda, and consume taco bell 4-5 days a week. That isn't healthy at all.

His post is pretty much my plan

Gain weight now, worry about working out later.

Honestly I don't get your gameplan. Fat doens't actually turn into muscle, so I have no idea what you'd accomplish by gaining garbage weight now.

I mean...I've been ridiculously skinny since I was like 10 or 11. From 6th grade through my senior year of high school I gained MAYBE 5 pounds total, if that. I'm pretty desperate at this point.

If you've heard some of the nicknames I was given, you'd further understand Unfortunately I can't post them here because they're extremely offensive.

I was around 100 pounds my freshman year of High school, so I definitely know what it's like, little guys catch a lot of ****.

I managed to get up to around 130ish by my junior year, but have been deadlocked in the 135 range since. All I know is I'd rather be skinny, with muscle definition and small, then kind of pudgy and pretty much still small.

If you're plan is to sit around and eat all day without lifting heavy or at all, the majority of the weight gain will be fat.

Lift, eat, rest. Rinse/repeat until you hit your goal.

Stuffing yourself with fast food isn't ideal, but if you do it, you'll gain weight, and if you do it while working out, you'll gain muscle. So I still don't get why your plan is to gain some weight just buy eating fast food and then later start working out. Why not start now? People always say I'm going to start going to the gym after...... It almost never works out.

Plus, I don't really get eating a bunch of **** food in the first place. Not only is it extremely unhealthy, but you won't have nearly as much energy or stamina. I bet your sleeping habits would change for the better if you worked out more and took better care of yourself.

                              Yeah. LOL.

What those guys said but I would make a strong point that junk food isn't even fuel for the body. It's doing far more harm than good. I completely stopped eating junk food/ stopped drinking soda and have never felt better.

I gained five pounds since the last time I went to the doctors, so I'm finally heading the right way. Now I need to start working out and trying to eat a consistent three meals a day (my hardest part) so I can get back up in weight a bit.
