Re: Who loves their job?
I love my job. Once you get into the swing of things and get to know the regular customers, it's all routine.
I really want to get promoted but with a few local stores closing, that may be put on hold.
We make sweet bonuses too, which is great because I get one right before Thanksgiving (BLACK FRIDAY!!) and one right before Memorial Day (Drunk weekend on me!).

Re: Who loves their job?
I like it for the fact I can do what I want to do, work at home or work on site. But so far this year there have always been mass rumblings about them outsourcing even more of jobs over seas to India.
And the ones they don't outsource, they going to merge 4 regional sites into 1.Comment

Software engineer, love it. Hopefully I never get promoted to management (but I want to keep getting promoted to higher levels of software engineer, of course).Rose City 'Til I Die

Re: Who loves their job?
I really, really like my job..can't quite say "love" though as it's not my dream job (teaching and coaching highschool baseball), but it is what I went to school for and pays a helluva lot more.
I'm a senior financial analyst for a major retailer. I work with great people and have bosses that seem to have my best interest at heart (I've been promoted from junior analyst to analyst to senior anlayst in about 4 and a half years).
There are definitely busy times and slow times, but everything is super flexible and as long as you get your work done on time and it's accurate, nobody asks a lot questions. I'm salaried, so whether I work 35 hours of 50 hours, my pay is the same (luckily there aren't a whole lot of 50's). Nobody cares if I show up at 8:00 or 8:30 or 9:00 and noody cares when I need to take time off to go take the kids to the doctor or see my daughters recital, etc.
The downside is the work is very repetitive and that makes the week's, month's, quarters and years just fly by as you constantly are re-doing what you just did.Comment

Re: Who loves their job?
I love my job, but the pay is so-so. Teaching high school is fun (after that 1st year). Great hours, tons of paid holidays, plenty of sick/personal days, nice benefits.
Every day brings something new.Comment

Re: Who loves their job?
I love my job. I work from home most days. I travel to different cities to acquire different properties and then sell them off. I get paid a ton to do nothing really. I do work on weekends sometimes but, that's only if I'm traveling.Moderator
