    Re: Who loves their job?

ehh i dont love my job...very stressful with poor communication. i'm a senior accountant at a large payroll company.

however, the bright side is that i know what im doing and lots of ppl come to me with issues. the downside is that ppl come to me with alot of issues. maybe if i was manager level, i'd love it more bc the pay would be proportional.

Yes, I love my job. I'm a Coast Guard helicopter pilot and fly the MH-60T Jayhawk...worked really hard to get where I am and it's neat to actually realize the dream. I won't get rich doing this, but I've already had enough moments that are priceless that it doesn't matter.

Yeah I can say I love my job (I'm an Audiologist).

Earn great money with good perks (free car, phone etc) and i get to help improve the lives of people with hearing loss. I had to work nights and study my *** off for years to get to this point but it is very much worth it.

Like any job it has days where I get a bit stressed etc but i don't see myself doing anything else anytime soon and my job can be very rewarding.

It took some time to get to where I'm at, but I love my "job." I'm a stay at home dad of 4 boys. Some of the pros are that I get to explore my own hobbies more. For instance, I love to cook. I have gotten to the point to where I make our own breads, cook just about every evening, and even made my own brick oven in the backyard.

It's not all roses though. There are days I struggle with the old ego and wish I was out there making the money for our home, but those days don't come as much as they used to. Also, kids can really test your patience. 4:00pm during a weekday and its lit up in this house.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

That's a good outlook. I think if we can somehow stay active, we can still be in good spirits.

For the most part, I like my job. I make a decent living and can take care of my family. We have a nice house, reliable cars, food in the refrigerator and a little bit of cash in savings... What more could a person want?

I work in a prison as a Corrections and Custody Officer. It's not a glorious job by any means, but I have so much camaraderie with my co-workers. I've met some really good people and never question whether or not any of them would have my back in a rough situation (and there are a lot).

"Prison guards" are some of the toughest people around. I don't say that in an arrogant way, but we deal with convicted felons who have committed some atrocious crimes and for a lot of them, they have nothing to lose so they act like it at times. I can't talk about my job in any real kind of detail with others because they just don't really understand.

We have no weapons to protect us, other than a set of handcuffs and our training, as well as tactical verbal skills.

My shift sucks (I work 1330 to 2200) but that's my biggest complaint. I get weekends and holidays off. There's a lot of job security because well, there are a lot of bad people in the world.

It's not what I want to do for the rest of my life, but for now, it's a good job. I am starting school in the spring to finish my degree and promoting within my department is something that I want to do.

I want to write books. Sports fiction, romance-comedy, crime dramas... I think I'd be really good at it and I love to write.

My dad is a Corrections Officer in Fife. He used to work at McNeil awhile ago. I think he enjoys the smaller jails a little more, plus his commute is a lot shorter now.
