Definitely not SVT's. They're pretty cheap rims I think.

As far as the black top, I'm going to get one eventually. Found one brand new for like $180. The pricing for those isn't as bad as I thought. I'm going to stick with the red/maroon color though. Paint is in great shape so no reason for me to go repainting it. Way too much money to get a good paint job these days.

Anyway.. I'm hoping someone on here has some experience with ECU chips. My car came with a Moates chip installed. I knew right when I drove it for the first time someone did some tuning to it. Problem is I don't think they did it right. A few issues. My car is an auto and the shifting is really messed up. I have to get up to 50mph just for it to kick into 4th. Sometimes when I switch into reverse or drive the car will die. Also it has surged on me on several occasions. As in.. I'll put it in drive and if I let it idle it'll go up to 1500 rpm and drop down to like 500. Over and over.

Today I took the chip out and now it runs fine. No idle issues and the shifting is back to normal. So obviously that was my issue. My question is how do you tune those chips?? Is it really necessary for me to take it to a tuning shop or something? I guess I could run it without the chip, but as long as I have it I might as well use it.

Also exactly how should you tune/program these chips? I'm a noob when it comes to that stuff.

Any help is appreciated.

I say screw the chip and get a tuner, you can tune it all by hand, and you can change tunes when ever you want, since your a Mustang owner like i was, the best place for parts or anything is Americanmuscle.com, its a Mustang only website, and has great costumer service, also check out their videos and see if they have any for your 5.0.

This week my wife and I are getting a new family car. It will be my wife's car.

Getting a 2011 Subaru Outback premium (mid-level trim), 34 K miles, for $1200 under the blue book value. Blue book prices are high, so its a good deal, not a total steal though. Got it checked out by an independent Subaru Mechanic and everything looks good.

We have been looking for about 3 months, and without a doubt, the best way to get a good deal on a used car is finding a private seller who needs to sell quickly. We are paying cash which was a nice bargaining chip as well. Comparable models at Carmax are ~$2500 more than we are paying.

I seen this beauty when I was at the Tractor Supply store buying my dog some dog food. The mustang belonged to a guy who was in his 90s who can barely walk. Even had a mustang belt buckle and a mustang bolo. I was amazed because I seen the guy walking like a snail in the store. For him, mustang was the only car he would ever drive or own.

It is a 2013.

Never understood why someone would buy the base model. It's just gonna depreciate faster than a 5.0, and if i hear about gas mileage i swear.. driving it normal gets 29 MPG's, that ridiculously good for a car with 412 horse.

Maybe that's what I'll do. I'm still doing some maintenance stuff. Going to take care of that before I put any mods into it. And speaking of that, my car actually already has flowmaster exhaust which I just found out about last night.

The front of the new Mustangs are sick. It's the back that I don't like. What's the deal with the slope?

Although really, I've never been much of a fan of the back of those cars. The early 2000 models had the best design I think.

Can anyone recommend a good leather repair or sealant? I have some tiny cracks where my arm rests on my center console. Two 2mm cracks have turned into 3 4-5mm cracks due to me being lazy. I just want to get the thing sealed up so they don't crack any further. Not too concerned with making it invisible.

I sware I wish I had know this. I bought a 2010 base 15$ (still good deal) because it was a huge upgrade over my 93 accord. Now I'm dying to have a '11-13 5.0 premium.

I didn't get anywhere near those MPGs when I had my 2012 Mustang GT. For the life of the car I averaged around 17.5 MPG. Obviously depends on how you drive it.

But now I drive a 2013 Charger SRT. And I leave it in Sport Mode all the time! 14 MPG lmao!!!
