This is made even more noticeable when riding in other vehicles.

Anyway, I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for any "fun" cars that I could grab for 25-28k "out the door" for new or used. I've looked into a couple as far as research, but that's about as far as I've gotten.
For used there are plenty of options at your price range. It also depends strictly on what you value most. You can get a pretty fun ride for that price, used, but also severely lose out on fuel efficiency.

As for new, the Accord comes to mind and it packs quite a punch. Also, the Kia Optima comes well equipped although I've never driven one.

I live about 5 minutes from work so fuel efficiency isn't that big of a worry, but I don't want to double my gas expense either.

Honestly, I just want something that is fun to drive (lots of pep, hug turns) and is a little bit more professional/adult. I'd love a muscle car honestly, but I don't have my mind (or heart) set on anything yet.

My current ride is an '05 Kia Spectra. Lots of room that I typically don't use other than my 1 week of vacation. My vehicle before that was an 88 Ford Ranger. Not exactly a fun driving collection.

So you're not opposed to getting a coupe, I guess? You can definitely find a 370Z, not that old, in that price range. Or a sedan that's fun to drive would definitely be a used G37(lots of fun to drive, especially coming from the Kia).

370 would probably be a little too small. I do have a dog that I haul around so it would be nice to have a back seat big enough for her. That is my major problem with the Subaru BRZ which I really like (especially for the price point), but its basically two front seats and then the rear wheels.

Things that keep floating through my head the past month or so:

Infiniti G37 coupe (which is now the G60?)
          Hyundai Genesis
          Nissan Altima coupe
          Muscle cars (Mustang, Challenger......Camaro)
          Subaru WRX

The coupe is the Q60..while the sedan is the Q50. Great looking car. I'm not sure you can go wrong with any on that list.

If I were you, I'd definitely go for the WRX. They're fast, durable, great off road, handle superbly, and you'll still have room for the dog and whoever else wants to tag along. My buddy just bought an 07' 5 speed WRX and it's fantastic, doesn't feel like a race car when you aren't pushing it, but once you do... man...

You'd be happy with anything on the list, I'm just in love with Subie's and had to share my 2 cents.

I don't understand the DMV at all. I bought my 95' 4runner December 21st of 2012 and got it smogged and registered sometime after Christmas of that year. Even though I got that stuff done at that time, I still have to pay for registration and smogging by May 12th because that's when the previous owners did it. I should have another 7 months to deal with that crap because it hasn't been close to two years since I did it, but I have to get it done right now for some reason and I really have no clue why.

My car's check engine light has been on and it's shooting off two codes, one for ignition or ignition connector (14), and another that could be 5 or 6 different things (25). I'm pretty sure the second one is coming on because of a misfire caused by cylinder compression, but since it isn't narrowed down to 1 or 2 things, I don't know. I guess I'll try to smog it just to find out what the problem is, and then try to fix that so I can actually pass smog. I put in engine restore a few days ago and the check engine light turned off instantly and stayed off for two days, now it's back on and I'm frustrated.

All of this is happening when I'm totally broke, and now my breaks are starting to grind so now I'll have to replace the break pads too. Lots of car fun for me. Good thing I'm coming up on finals, I could really use the extra stress.

Fresh, look into sti or Evo at your price range. More reliability for the sti. And as far as fun you can't beat those two for fun.

I'm particular to sti because they just sound so badaas. You'll fall in love with the sti/wrx rumble.

I have pics just haven't posted yet, been too lazy to get them off my phone. Will do soon.

In Feburary I got myself a 2014 Infiniti Q50S, and last weekend I picked up a 2014 BMW X3 for the wife. Pics to come in the next couple of days.

As posted in another thread just bought the wife a Fiat 500L Trekking with Beats Audio.

We've had it for about a month now. Really enjoying it

Thanks bk The interior design is very nice & was a selling point, which includes a rear camera and Navi system. We also go Sirius Satellite free for 1 year.

Design in general is very well done. The car's size is actually a lot bigger than we thought.

5 people fit comfortably in the vehicle, with good head & foot room. The trunk space is also roomy.

The vehicle runs on a 1.4 L Multi-Air Turbo Engine. (Same Engine in the 500 Abarth) Very nice ride that feels good with nice suspension. It also has a Twin-Transmission (Auto & Manual)

Fiat has built a really nice car, but might not sell due to its exterior Euro design.

Anyone looking @ Mini, Kia Soul or Scion XB should not over look this vehicle

I've always liked the WRX's. One of my friends used to have one and I got to drive it home from a concert one night - thing was nice. Roomy, too, which is another consideration because I don't want to "outgrow" a car in 2-3 years with more dogs or kids.
