    Re: OS Cars Thread

I would highly recommend getting behind the wheel of one. Personally, I like the M series as I like luxury/sport over a pure sport feel. I'm a little above average in height (6'3") and I am very comfortable in the car. It has all the extras I could ever want. All the attention to detail in the vehicle is incredible. Okay I'll shut up about it now...

I test drove the G and thought I was in a race car, which just isn't for me!

All this car talk is making me sooooooo impatience!

I contest to that, my roommate has a g37s, that thing very nice. Still hasn't beat me in a race though

But to be honest I would trade cars in a second, its just great combination of speed, comfort and looks. I would almost keep almost stock, but I would change hims and drop it a little and its perfect.

I actually want to get a suv now or look into a bigger luxury car like the M series. I just want to be comfortable as hell. Driving turbo/race cars are fun but they are just so rough to drive it takes a toll on you after a decade.

Car needs some work done internally but other than that we got it for a great price. Interior is about 80% done just need to put some newer seats in it (Car didn't come with seatbelts).

              I'm like that now too.

I want something that is pretty big (I have kids so it's gotta have some space), luxuriously appointed, looks stylish and has enough power that when I plant my foot to overtake I have a smile on my face. Infiniti's look like they fit that bill pretty nicely with some of their bigger models from what I am seeing. In the US how do they compare to BMW's and Audi's price wise? Are they generally a bit cheaper or are the prices pretty similar?

I currently drive a Ford G6E Turbo and had a Lexus IS250 before that. The G6E isn't available in the US I don't think and is the top of the line Australian model and is a nice car (leather seats, reversing camera's / sensors, climate control, blue tooth etc) and is very quick (0-60 mph in 5.0 seconds) while still having some decent space but I think it's till a little bit behind the BMW's and Audi's of the world in terms of finish and refinement.

This is the same as mine, def need to get some new rims for it but it's not real high on my priority list right now.

The one issue I had with Acura was the NASA button control they got going on up front in their MDK (or is it X) model. I'm nitpicking but that's what I do

Ford Falcon, very nice. Yeah, the US has the Taurus, which in my opinion doesn't look bad.

That '62 looks damn good. My dream car is either a '70 Chevelle(with the 454 under the hood obviously) or a '69 GTO Judge(not hugger orange, but black or forest green).

                      Or a '68 Yenko Camaro. Blue with a 427.

Yeah the 62' has a Chevy 350 in it right now but down the road that's getting switched out for a 455. Painting the car soon I'm not sure what color though, maybe a pearl white or a light blue.

Man you guys have it so good in the US in relation to car prices.

My car brand new is roughly 54k at most places here in Australia and the equivalent top of the line Taurus is 38K in the US from what I saw online and our dollar is actually slightly stronger than the US dollar at the moment. The taxes our government puts on cars here is rediculous!

For 54K I could be rolling in a nice BWM or something in the US.

I've been thinking of trading my car in for a truck.

I have a backup vehicle (99 Civic Si) that I've had since I was 17 and I still intend to keep it, but I'm currently paying on a Cobalt SS. I'm getting to point where I really need a truck. I can't haul a trailer, sea-doo, 4wheeler, or anything without having to borrow one from my dad.

I stopped last night and took a few pictures of one I've been looking at. I've stopped and talked to them about it once or twice, but I haven't talked money with them or anything. I'm going to wait and take my dad with me if I decide to do that. He's great and a lot better than me at dealing with car salesmen.

Any thoughts or has anyone owned one ?

My dad has an '09 Tacoma. He loves it. Drives better than the F-150 he test drove. The Toyota dealer here in Tuscaloosa is a lot better than the Ford dealer as well. The interior is great. With the Pioneer navigation aftermarket upgrade, it's a lot like the 4-runner interior to me.

Same here. Our Toyota Dealership is so much nicer then the Ford Dealership. My step mom's new Toyota Camry came from the dealership here. This one is located at Jasper Auto Sales. They're wholesale, but they've been in business for as long as I can remember and my moms last vehicle came from there and she had no problems with it what so ever.

This truck only has 30.000 miles on it and doesn't have any defects in the body at all. I'm going to hit up my dad today and see if he wants to go with me to test drive it.

Thanks for the feedback. I know Toyota is usually a pretty reliable vehicle, especially the trucks. I just don't know many people with the newer model trucks.
