I wonder how loud those warning sirens are? I wonder if they're as loud or louder than a typical Tornado siren?

I went ahead and put my sell orders in. I'll just buy back in a couple of days when it hits bottom. There's no way this has less of an effect than the whole Libya conflict.

I really need to get to sleep, but man I want to see what happens.

I just realized that there's a bluff around where my Uncle's house is....so I don't think water can reach the streets there. It would, however, directly hit the houses right on the beach and Pacific Coast Highway.

You can hear them go off, they've got the sirens every where there so its hard to not hear it or have someone in the vicinity not hear it.

They did a test on the sirens on one of my trips there and it was an "oh ****" moment for that second.

Seems like the state is doing precautions and evacuating people from the coastlines there, so hopefully that works

It sounds like we are back down to a watch out here. But if the sirens go off i got my family sleeping with their shoes on.

Sirens sound like a tornado siren. They are loud. They test them out here every tuesday.

Japan says 8.8 while US says it was 8.9.
