I dated a chick from New Jersey who had this annoying little cousin who wanted to be "hood". He kept trying to talk tough, asking me questions about what it was like living in Brooklyn, and telling me he wanted to come and "kick it with me in the hood"... Bastard was acting like he was going on a safari expedition or something. My girl kept telling me how nice it was that he wanted to hang out with me. My intention was purely to let him come with me to Brooklyn, drop him off in Red Hook, and keep it moving.

Yea that was a fail lol. I guess if I decided to wear my hat backwards an call my friends homies I'm a bully now smh at that nonsense.

That wasn't what I meant. I meant that more often than not, when the 2 people get in to the fight like Casey and Richard, Richard is bullying Casey instead of the other way around. And sometimes the teachers or principals are too stupid to realize that. I just used stereotypes to give examples of it, I wasn't saying that everyone who wears their hat backwards is a bully.

I taught my son the same thing. He's like me, he's big for his age. But when he started school, these little kids wanted to test him and lay hands on him. And down here in NC, they're stricter than they were in NY, where I went to school, about "telling the teacher" and not retaliating. But I had told him like my pops told me; you let them know verbally the first time that you are not the one. Then if they keep coming at you, you are now obligated to beat the point into them. This little snot kept testing him, and my son, to his credit, told him three times to cut it out or else. So my son proceeded to put in work on him. My wife got called, told what happened, and was like, "OK, so what's the problem?" Funny thing, when they had open school night a few weeks later, the kid spotted my son and pointed him out to his pops. Ever so briefly, the pops looked like he wanted to have a "discussion" about it, then saw me, and quickly "hulked down".

I know all about it. I went to school in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg district.

Our school resource officers typically lead their division in arrests, most of which are assaults that stem from fighting.

Kids are cruel.
You can't stop/prevent/kill/etc bullying.
Kids today are soft.

These are high school kids that bring guns/knives to school. Who shoot said guns after school. And who assault their own teachers. They also start gang fights in the cafeteria.

Yeah I am not shocked. Picking up a little kid and then slamming him to the ground is probably not going to look good in the eyes of a judge either. I talk to a judge at work about this last week. She told me she probably wouldn't drop the charges. Even though this kid got pick on she is afraid he might snap again and really hurt some one. People are always going to get pick on, but snapping the way he did might not be good in the judges eyes.

he didn't snap, he defended himself. Snapped would've been him continually beating the kid senseless.

Also, "snapped" would have been slamming the kid for name calling. The little cretin literally punched the kid pretty hard in the face and kept hitting him.

Self defense, and I would not want to face that judge, she seems pretty um, ignorant. And shows some of the flaws in our legal system and as to why bullying is tolerated. "Always getting picked on" is not excuse to let them get away with it.
