when I'm about halfway through a roll of tp, I move on to another new, fresh roll. it's not uncommon for me to have 6 or 7 halfway used rolls of tp at a time. every roll eventually gets used but missus Caulfield doesn't find this to be quirky or endearing or eccentric, she just thinks it's annoying at best and aggravating at worst. in fact I'm sure all of my quirks are also her pet peeves.

I dunno, I guess there's something about opening a new roll I can't stop myself from doing. and on a similar note, at work we have a handsoap dispenser built into the wall but we also have regular bars of soap as well. and the guy who puts the soap out and cleans the men's room, he routinely put's out 3 or 4 unopened bars just in case. and throughout the course of those days he does, I'll open a new bar of soap every visit to the restroom. so it's not unusual that I'll open 3 bars of soap a day.

I suppose as long as you use them all up eventually it's okay, otherwise I have to put a vote in the "annoying" column...

When I have some garbage that would start to smell if I left it out (ground beef or chicken container, fruit, etc.), but the garbage can isn't full yet, I put it in the freezer so it will freeze and not smell. Then when I take the garbage out I just have to remember to get the "freezer garbage" as well.

Hey, it's better than what Jeffrey Dahmer put in his freezer, amirite?

That's actually a good idea, but it requires extra space in the freezer (presumably a dedicated drawer or space) and the discipline to remember to dump it every week (or however frequently). But it's conceptually a good idea.

there are foods I won't eat not because of taste, but because of the sound ... of the name of the food. like gumbo, or guacamole. I've never even tried them and I'm not going to start now. when they gave names out to foods, some of them could have used a good pr campaign. same goes for the sights of certain foods. if it doesn't look appealing I don't want. these lips have never tried spinach or collard greens. heck, I was well into my 20's before I ever even tried broccoli. and the only reason I did was because someone I knew had the foresight to put cheese on first. but that's a rare rare exception.

some other foods I won't eat because of the name include but not limited to: any type casserole (except breakfast casserole, that's not a real casserole afaic, more a cousin to omelettes), haggis, spotted dick, rutabaga, olive loaf, pickled anything (except actual pickles)

The only meat that I can think of off the top of my head that I both eat and sounds appetizing with the name of the animal right inside of it is chicken.

Anything else that could just be a derivation of the animal name of some sort (even pork/ham) is good and not like the direct word, otherwise it doesn't sound as appetizing. So if someone tells me that like I'm eating pig, cow, whatever, it definitely loses the luster a little bit haha. Maybe that's why the more gamey meat always seemed less appealing (duck, deer, etc.).

I'm allergic to fish, but even then I think of its shapely form or seeing its eyeball or something at the store and I'm thinking: "Who could eat that?? Oh, right."

I love meat, by the way.

I have this issue with salad. I don't like salad. But there's also potato salad and egg salad that might be delicious and I refuse to eat them because they contain the word salad

Some vegetarian claimed as long as it said "salad" then it was okay for their diet... including chicken salad.

Haggis definitely has a questionable sound to it, and the reality of it is equally off putting.

Nothing wrong with spotted dick (that a trip to the clinic can't cure). And then there's bangers and mash.
