common, but still quirky IMO: food on plate must not touch other foods on plate. yesterday I actually required 4 plates for 1 meal to accomplish that.

      Re: Quirky things you do...

^ That reminds me of something I do:

If I have multiple items of food, my end goal is to "finish them all at the same time." Meaning if I have a bite of chicken, then I gotta pace it out by eating some rice, and then going to the cauliflower.

The only thing I can pace differently is my water drink (which I can have more or less to my liking), but if I'm having another beverage like at a restaurant (where I have to pay for it and would have to pay for refills), it's the same deal as the food.

Even at restaurants, I ask for my soup/salad to come at the same time as my meal, and I wait to eat any appetizers such as bread or chips until my meal comes to do the same exercise.

EDIT: Apparently I said this in this thread before... nine years ago.

It's common but people still find it weird.

I eat like this and people think it's weird or childish.

I simply don't want food touching, what's wrong with that? I won't go as far as to have it on multiple plates, but I'll space it out. I don't want pasta touching rice, or sauce from one leaking into the other, or anything like that.

If I'm at home and we're having say, baked beans I'll get a little bowl for the beans and etc. as well.

Don't know how prevalent this is but I'm much more attracted to women with short hairstyles than long hair. It isn't that I'm not attracted to women with long hair (that would be silly) but just prefer shorter hair.

And it can go anywhere from this:

            Spoiler

            To this:

            Spoiler

While acknowledging that these are two incredibly attractive women which would look gorgeous no matter what hairstyle they chose.

            It still holds.

I'm not as into the short-short hair kind of look, but chin-length looks great on a lot of girls who can sport it. I was literally just watching Ocean's Twelve on TV yesterday, and I re-reminded myself that it was my favorite Catherine Zeta-Jones look of any other time I've seen her on film. There is even a flashback sequence in the movie where her hair is longer, and ehh it doesn't suit her as much for me.

              Spoiler

Brooke Langton was the same way in The Replacements. Once her hair is longer in any other role, I'm a little ehh to it.

              Spoiler

Mary Elizabeth Winstead also recently rocked it in Birds of Prey, and I thought she looked great (though I'll post two "normal" pictures outside of film for comparison):

              Spoiler

Hell, we even have a virtual example with Rapunzel in Tangled! I do wish it was only a couple of inches longer when short, but I think she kills with that look.

              Spoiler

Now, does that mean every girl looks better this way? No, not necessarily. Those who sport it and make it look good though is my favorite kind of combination you can have.

I also grew up having a thing for girls who dye their hair, even with unnatural colors. I don't necessarily mean everything has to be mermaid teal or anything, but it also never hurt. Or it could be full black, full blonde, little streaks here and there, or anything like that. Not that I'd want to marry the person keeping that same fashion and still sporting it at 40 years old or anything, but again growing up in high school, college, and even graduate school I've been attracted to that.

Sometimes it was maybe less about the appearance itself and more about the personality they carried (not necessarily like they were making a statement of any kind, but it sort of did tell me a lot about them at the same time). So long as they weren't covered in tattoos/piercings and being a heavy smoker all the meanwhile, I've always really dug the look.

                Re: Quirky things you do...

Hehe, I'm the opposite with the dying the hair thing. The more out there colors like blue or super red are a no. Even "regular" colors tend to be a no if they are too obvious, like honeys, it is mathematically impossible for everyone to be a blonde.

And by "no" it means I internally don't like it but that the extent of it

I used to be the same way with tattoos but that ain't a thing anymore (thankfully!).

I'm the opposite way. Short hair seems weirder/worse to me.

It goes this way with both genders though. Some girls can pull off short hair, but I find many can't. And for guys, some can pull off long hair, but I find many can't.

Biggest known example I can use is Penny on BBT. Compare her with short hair vs long hair. She couldn't pull off short hair imo(something they basically referenced in the show after she grew her hair out again).

Right, the point I was trying to make is it doesn't work on everybody (take Anne Hathaway for example), but that the best version of a short-haired female (chin-length is often my limit) trumps that of the best version of a long-haired female. When they can get that short-haired look going, I'm gaga over it.

Oh wow, you think it didn't worked on Anne Hathaway? I disagree big time:

                      Now, if you mean this:

                      Spoiler

Then yeah, not her best look.

Oh, I'm not saying she doesn't look good with short hair (I thought it suited her really well in Interstellar), I'm just saying that she's an example of someone who I do prefer with longer hair (I mean much past shoulder level), and everyone has seen both kinds of looks before.

I was absolutely in love with her in Ocean's 8.

Now, I'm willing to admit that it might be a fetish thing? I kinda liked Kaley Cuoco with the short hair too.

Guys I think I may have a problem.

I knew someone would bring that up.

It was just another example. I showed my mom the movie recently, and when I asked myself: "Who else have we seen with long and short hair?" that came to mind. If it helps, she is eighteen mid-movie.

Anyway, I just recalled my first shorter haired girl crush. It was Neve Campbell in Scream 2 (believe it or not, I first saw that movie when I was ten years old). She always looked better with short hair than she did with long hair.

I like flowing, cascading hair. thick lustrous hair is very important to me. and when you stick your hand in their hair, it needs to be easy to get it out. and I need a good cheek, I like a good cheek. with a pinkish hue. and a rosy glow.
