Re: Quirky things you do...
I live in a pretty nice neighborhood, but you are rolling the dice if you leave the garage door open. It's just petty thieves looking for a quick grab, or high schoolers looking for beer in the garage, but we had a rash of thefts so I always do the double check on that too. One time I forgot to close it, or it didn't close all the way and went back up.
I keep a fifty cent piece in my car. I flip it to tails when I see the garage door shut all the way. That way, 1/2 way to work I look down and see tails, its all good. So much on my mind when I head to work, I don't remember tying shoes, locking doors, turning off lights, its just automatic.
I like this, but what happens if you forget to flip the coin? [emoji6]NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Re: Quirky things you do...
It's just a weird brain thing that you can remember to flip the coin but not remember that you closed the garage door. One of those deliberate things to help you, I guess.
I've heard that if you think of something right before falling asleep, you're more likely to remember it. That's always stuck with me, so I like to do some good thinking before bed. Like, schedule this thing tomorrow or remember you're meeting with these people at this time.
Or saying something out loud or writing it down. I probably won't look at my notes, but taking that extra step to write it out imprints it better in my memory then just keeping it in my mind.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Re: Quirky things you do...
Here's a quirky thing almost everyone in existence does (or so it seems), except me. Even ya'll probably do. Pay attention to this next time you're around people eating...
You all will look at your food as you're ready to insert it into the ol' boca, and once it goes in/you take the first bite, you'll look up. I just look down right at my food that I'm eating. I ain't got no time to scope out anything else.
It might just be in social settings though, like people are subconsciously checking to see who's watching them eat. I don't really know, but it's funny to look at when you're made aware of the fact.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

It's definitely normal because of how common it is, but to me it also is definitely quirky.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
