    Re: Quirky things you do...

Anyone ever look at September, October, and November and think of them as the seventh, eighth, and ninth months of the calendar year respectively? Every so often I still find myself making that mistake when dating something. I guess I can see why I do it, but it's funny that a few of my friends have made that mistake as well.

Oh, and another thing I actually avoid doing that is kind of quirky. If there's like a well-known radio personnel that I know or some band that I like, because I primarily know them by their voices and nothing more, I sometimes do my best to make sure I don't voluntarily do a Google search and see what they look like. I'll often just create an image of them in my head for myself and I feel that, if I end up seeing what they look like, it will tarnish that image for me. I guess I can't currently give any specific examples because normally I end up getting a shot of them one way or another anyway (at least for bands if I ever looked up a YouTube video), but I certainly enjoy that mystery of not knowing. Their voice is their talent, therefore I want to make sure it stays that way.

      I do that one too

      - All of my video games have to be in thi correct cases at all times.

      - I NEVER let anyone listen to my iPod

      - When I'm on the computer I hate having people looking at what I'm doing regardless of what it is.

      - I won't talk to anyone when a Jets game is on.

Literally everything reminds me of a song. Something will happen, or somebody will say something, and I'll start singing a song that describes said situation.

My friends usually find it entertaining, but I know that could get annoying really quickly, so I try to keep them to myself more often than not.

I get it from my mom, she does the exact same thing.

Same thing with me and Family Guy. If anyone says literally anything, I can tie it into Family Guy for the sole reason that Family Guy is essentially a reference for life, as they refer to everything in life themselves. Any time in Family Guy they say, "Just like the time when..." in real life you can do the same thing saying, "Just like the time in Family Guy when..." and refer to that moment.

As long as you can recall the instance, you can literally use it to almost any moment in life.

If my 7 month ol daughter has a poopie diaper I have to dump the poop before i can continue, it bugs me to know it's sitting there. Twice she has whizzed all over the changing table the past three months, but the smell of the poop can be tough to deal with.

I have to have noise to sleep. I am stone deaf in my right ear, but the nerve in that ear is damaged, nerves frayed with nerve endings touching each other. That causes a roaring noise 24/7 that projects in my right ear. If I don't have some background noise to cancel that out I can't sleep. I sleep on the deaf ear, FYI. Tried sleeping on the other, but I can't hear my daughter/wife when I do.

When microwaving something (which is all the time) i never let the clock run down all the way. I hate hearing those 3 or 4 loud beeps.

                  anybody else do this?
Yes. My phone goes to the left of my pillow on my bed. I'm paranoid about sleeping through alarms. I think I've documented my alarm system elsewhere.

After talking with my wife, I realized I do some quirky things and remembered this thread...

-I walk on my tip toes when not in shoes
-I write letters/numbers from the bottom up
-I bat/golf left handed even though i'm right handed, I literally can't stand any other way comfortably

When I pump gas the dollar amount has to end in 00. I also wear a rubber glove when I pump gas. Pumps are filthy and have been touched by way too many hands.

Throughout the day I always have to clean my granite counter tops multiple times. I can't stand seeing smears or streaks on them. Drives my wife nuts. Haha.

All the money in my wallet has to be facing the same direction and in order from big bills to small bills.

I could list so many more things that I should probably start an OCD thread seeing as that is something I deal with.

-It's a bad habit but I always try to pop something in my body be it hips, ankle, spine, shoulder/shoulder blades, fingers/toes. And after i pop it I see if I can do it again in a couple minutes. One of these days I'm gonna pop something out of socket or pinch a nerve.

-Maybe because I used to dance a lot when I was younger I always imagine dance routines when I listen to upbeat/dance songs. Then when I try to do it, I forget that I can't really dance anymore and just bob my head.

I sanitize the **** out of my hands every single time I get back in the car after pumping gas.

I'm very germophobic and it's gotten worse. Few weeks ago, a few members of my family had a cold so since then I've gotten into the habit of even using my shirt to open doors, lol.

Same. I crack my neck repeatedly throughout the day, along with my wrists. Drives my wife nuts.

I also go nuts when my wife drives my truck. I always make sure to straighten the tires out after I park, and she just leaves them angled however they are when she pulls in. Drives me crazy .

I chew the insides of my cheeks when Im extremely board. Sometimes the sides of my tongue. During really bad episodes I scar up my cheeks, but it usually heals up after a week or so.
