I did this really.bad one day.
I think it was the last time I smoked pot.
I remember biting the insides of my cheeks and enjoying the pain of it.
I remember the pain of anything hitting the cuts afterwards was brutal and it lasted a good two weeks.

I do the same thing to my cheeks and insides of my lips. I also bite and chew my fingernails. I do these things even more lately since I quit smoking and cut down on dipping, so I am constantly feeling the need to do something with and have something in my mouth(yes that sounds dirty).

I do both of these. The first one I do especially when I'm four wheeling and leave my phone or wallet in my pocket, I constantly feel to make sure it didn't slip out. And I check my alarm a few times a night, and right after I check it I want to check it again incase I accidentally messed something up while checking it lol

My volume on my TV or radio cannot end in a 3, unless it is 3 or 33. 13, 23, 43, 53, etc. are all unacceptable.

If I scratch my left leg or left arm, I must also scratch my right leg or arm in the exact same place so they are even.

I moan and make the absolute weirdest noises when I sleep. And it's not like once in a while either, it is constantly the whole night. My friends always make fun of me for this.

I can't sleep with a shirt or socks on, only underwear and athletic shorts. Also I never sleep with a blanket, just a sheet.

If I'm playing video games by myself, I talk to myself.

If I see something really controversial or newsworthy on ESPN or something and don't have anybody to talk to in person, I will discuss my opinions and talk to my self about it out loud. Then after I finish my discussion with myself I'm like "Wow, did I really just do that? That was really weird of me to do."

That's about all I can think of right now. This post has really made me realize how odd I am.

Another one I forgot to mention. Whenever I leave the house and shut the door, I check the door to make sure it is locked. Not just one time either. I sit there and jiggle the doorknob and push on the door numerous times to make sure it's locked. I don't stop until I'm comfortable that the door is locked.

It's a bad one for me. Sometimes I even get in my car and drive down the road, then drive back and check the door again. I wish I could explain why.

This is another one that drives my wife nuts because if she is the last one out the door I always ask her if it's locked and if she checked it again. Haha. You guys must think I'm strange as hell.

-I can't stand not having socks on.
-When there's a line of books on a bookshelf or stack of papers, they must be aligned properly.
-On my iPod, I refuse to turn it off mid-song and when the menus do not have everything on the very top highlighted.
-I'm guessing this is less quirky than the other things, but nobody - nobody - can use my baseball glove.
-If a group of things can be arranged chronologically (like a series of movies or a bunch of Rush CD's), they must be.
-After buying a pack of baseball cards (yes, I still do; I just love collecting these things) I try to keep them in the same order as long as possible.
-Grammar, spelling, etc. must be perfect on texts except in a couple of occasions. The message must be communicated the way it would be said.
-And like most other people here, the volumes of TVs and radios must be evens or fives. However, 11 somehow works as an exception depending on what it is.

I second this list minus the baseball glove one. It's funny how so many of us do the same things when you yourself may think you're the only one that does them.

Nope, I do the same thing quite a bit.

Sometimes I can force my way past it, but I've driven 60 miles out of my way (30 home, then 30 back to where I was), just to make sure my garage door was shut. Pretty much every morning when I leave for school, I have to drive around the block once to make sure the garage door is shut. Sucks big time.

It's crazy how our minds work that cause us to be so paranoid about something like a door.

I'm the opposite on TV volume. Mine has to end in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 0.

Yeah, it never bothered me for the longest time, then out of no where about 3 years ago I started being really OCD about my doors being shut/locked. No clue why it happened, but it's pretty dang annoying.

Expiration dates. If it's even remotely close to the day or the day of, keep it away from me.

I get so nervous having dinner at my mother-in-law's house sometimes because she always has out-of-date food. My wife always has to check out what we are having when we go there to make sure it isn't expired.

Last month we were there for dinner having burgers and the ketchup on the table was expired. Wife had to get me a new bottle from the fridge. I'm one of those "if I eat it on the day it expires, it will make me sick and kill me" kind of guys.

This isn't quirky at all. 2 infielders on my college team got into a fist-fight because one of them put his hand in the other's glove.

Baseball players are probably the most superstitious/quirky of all athletes though.
