Once everyone goes their own separate way, I'm screwed because I'm such a shy/reserved person around people I don't know. I honestly don't know how I made any friends to begin with because of that
That seems to happen to just about everybody eventually. Everybody grows up and goes their separate ways usually so unless all of you guys live together and/or no one leaves town it's pretty much inevitable that it's gonna happen I'm afraid.

I think a couple will stick around, but most of us will go elsewhere.

So when I go to college, I'm afraid I'll become a loner...unless I go to Southeastern, which is Live Oak High North.
Zero chance of that happening dude. Especially if you plan to live on campus.

Lol exactly. I've never had so many friends in my life as when I lived on campus. Mind you because everybody is usually there from all over the country / world when your degree is finished everyone scatters to all corners of the planet then it is VERY hard to stay in touch.

At least you guys have facebook now, we didn't have that when I finished university, would have made keeping in touch a bit easier i think.

I have some loner tendencies. I tend to stay at home more nights... I never really partied in college, instead spending time with a few friends, playing video games. I spend some time with some friends, but if I do it more than 2 nights a week I find myself wishing I had more time to myself. I do like being around my friends... I just like having a good amount of me time.

Definitely like being home with my girlfriend or alone to play the PS3 or browse OS and other various sports websites. I do like going out every now and then, but that's it. Once you hit a certain age, the only thing you do when you go out is drink or smoke... I don't smoke any more (past that phase) so a lot of the friend calls aren't coming any more (which I actually like, shows who your real friends are and who was just there to use you) and going out to drink is really expensive and I'd rather just save that money for my future. It seems like everyone is so caught up in the scene and trying to be good enough for others. I just feel like my mind is in a completely different, more mature place then people my age. It's cool to be young every now and then but I've been there, done that enough for my liking.

I do enjoy family gatherings. We have about one a month for a birthday, holiday, etc. I've really grown to appreciate those and savor them.

I'm just at the age where it's time to get serious about my life and where I want it to be and go. I've done all the partying from my late teen's so it's old to me now. I want to go to school now, get a good (at least better) job, start building the foundation for that dream life of a comfortable living, a great wife, few kids, picket fence, dog, cat, you know. Ha.

I kinda am. I generally get along with anyone in a social setting, but have very few friends that I trust. This I causing problems for my wedding because I don't have enough groomsmen to pair up with her bridesmaids.

I shared Watson's fear going into college because I had some trouble making friends in high school since we had moved in my 10th grade year to NC from WV (where I had a very tight group of friends) and my fears were not justified. I actually have more friends that I'd probably like to now! Not enough ME time!

You might have to go on a man date or two.

I don't see how you could have that many "very good" friends, unless your' idea of a good friend is different than mine.

I may have 3-5 very good friends, and out side of that.. just a bunch of friends.. lol

People I talk to or associate with almost everyday is what I meant.

edit: but 15 was just a number to give you the main idea.

I'm still in high school. When I was young my group of friends just kind of moved away from each other...and I got obsessed with video games and never got a new group of friends until the middle of high school so outside of having "friends" in school, I was a loner. But unluckily I guess my "friends" don't like me much anymore...they haven't invited me to hang out with me in around a month...though I guess I have another group to fall back on...but I don't really want to change my group of friends(totally different people...not sports people)...so I guess I am a loner all over again.

Between working long hours, a wife and a 2 year old I don't have much spare time as it is so it does kinda get hard because I hate having to say no to invites from friends etc all the time but honestly sometimes I'd much rather just stay home.

Guess I'm turning into an anti-social prick now that I hit 30.
I could have wrote this post myself.

                              I am also approaching 30 and have a one-year-old.

Saying "no" to invites all of the time is hard. On the surface, I'd enjoy going out more but it's not good for me, so I've became the guy who is cool at work but never goes anywhere outside of it which bums people out, but I always tell the other guys -- get a wife and a young kid, and you'll understand.

Really, that's fine by me... I don't think I'm as much of a loner as I am a home body who just wants to enjoy my family most of the time.

I have a good buddy at work who is 23, and he ALWAYS used to ask me to go out to bars with him and some other guys. When he was asking a lot, my wife was pregnant. I'd usually tell him, "Sorry bud, I think I'm just going to go hang out with my pregnant wife." He'd just roll his eyes and give me **** for it.

Well, a year later, he has a new wife and she is pregnant. We were all shooting the *** one day and one of our other buddies asks him to go out to the bar -- he says, "Nah man, my wife's pregnant." I looked at him and he caught it. We both laughed. He used to give me SO much crap about using my wife's pregnancy as a cop out, but now he understands.
