ODogg's child coming out with dreads would be the perfect ending to this story. I'd lose it if that somehow happened.

I would buy the diamond from a pawn shop, pay someone who knows what they are doing to verify it.

Then goto another place for the setting. You'll save thousands this way.

Exactly! Sometimes you sacrifice to do something that your wife/SO wants to do because it makes them happy. You just have to not always sacrifice, and work in what you want as well.

My GF and I got back from a cruise with her family 8 days ago. We're going to Vegas over 4th of July weekend. I wanted this past weekend to chill and not have to do anything. Her mom is moving back to Cleveland in a month or so, and wanted to go with people to Sedona one last time before she moved. I made sure my GF really wanted to go and then went with them, even though I wanted to chill.

It made her happy I went, and wasn't a major sacrifice (but she knew I did sacrifice and appreciates it). At the same point I skipped the movie her and her mom saw yesterday because I didn't care to see it...have to pick and choose the times.

I don't play that real good male friends. If you got a male friend he better be Family or verified gay. before i was married i played the role of the Good male friend many of times so that's what i'm basing my thoughts on.

Yah... once you're married or in a serious relationship there really isn't an appropriate situation where one should be hanging out with the opposite sex one on one "as friends".

I'll call BS on that one everytime. And I don't mean you happen to be at a party or function for a couple minutes when people walked away, I'm talking about going out and doing stuff together. Not happening... One, or both, of the parties will always want something more.

To quote a television show (always the best source of advice, duh) about being friends with the opposite sex:
