Had to be CC policy. Too scared of an MEO violation. I've never heard of it, but it wouldn't surprise me either.

You'd have to be this guy to not see that it is. Big time.

Re: Has America gotten to politically correct/touchy?

Now a days America is way too touchy about everything. Were stuck in a loop, people are too afraid to do / say things because 1) Your gonna get sued or 2) Your gonna offend someone. Some things I see are harmless and get blown way out of proportion. Hell, I've almost been suspended a week from work for telling a guy to 'stop looking at my butt' because it was a gay slur. (I was obviously screwing around and used a lisp to say it).

It's pretty much getting to the point where you can't say anything without someone taking offense, hell half the time I have to look at people and shake my head. Everything now a days is offensive/racist/sexist/etc. I mean honestly and going off that quote from the first page, like a US military official would fire at a civilian in America in a crowded stadium. Right.

Logic defies this society sometimes. Good thing I decided I really didn't care about offending people if they can't take a joke, they shouldn't be talking to me. I have lines I won't cross, but if I barely say anything remotely controversial and someone freaks out, I'll start yelling back.

Easily so. Anything can be taken the wrong way somehow. I'm not the type of person who gets offended easily, so I just sit there with a lot of disappointment and shock when I see half of the stuff that people get upset over.

In today's society most people are just so touchy you have to really watch what you say or you're going to catch hell for something that should never ever be a problem really.

The truth hurts sometimes and you can't hurt anyone's feelings so you can no longer speak the truth in many cases. Its unfortunate because you can't change things for the better unless all the facts and truths are laid out on the table for people to see.

Despite the fact that Col. Tomko was joking and it was harmless, I disagree that he can say what he wants because he's a war fighter. What does fighting in a war have anything to do with free speech?

I must have missed that post, but I totally agree with this.
