I was thinking the same thing. Though if that were indeed the case you would think the jury would have at least found her guilty of manslaughter.

I wonder if its just a coincidence that the two most high profile murder cases of the last couple of decades ended in not guilty verdicts that most of the general public thought was definitely the wrong decisions.

I know if I ever get convicted of murder I'm calling Nancy Grace up and telling her to get work crucifying me. Seems like a sure way to get off.

Why did Casey never take the stand herself? Seems like the prosecution could have attacked her on the stand and caught her in some of her lies directly in front of the jury.

Because the prosecution was a bunch of armatures about how they went about proving their case.

Honestly, if people want to be mad at someone, be mad at the pathetic job the prosecution did in this case. They basically coasted, thinking this thing was going to be so easy.

If I were a part of the prosecution, I'd be packing my things because there is no way I am going to be back.

Pathetic, all the way around. SMDH.

This all falls on the prosecution. They had to prove without a shadow of a doubt that she killed Caylee, and they couldn't.

Where is all this public outcry for the hundreds of thousands of other absurd verdicts that are handed down? People get the death sentence with much less and get off scott free with so much more. Its amazing what a camera and a broadcast can do to rile people up when there are much bigger fish to fry. This case is a shame but much greater judicial tragedies have happened with no outcry in sight.

To be fair, all you need is one person to say they've reached the "right" verdict.

Well, let me put it this way. Say I pooled together the accumulation of OS's poll votes into a raffle bucket (17 Yes's, 51 No's). If I draw twelve of these votes randomly, the chance that I draw at least one "Yes" is still 97%.

If the majority opinion is that 25% of people say she really is innocent and you randomly draw twelve people to be your jury crew, I'd say that 97 times out of 100, you're going to find her not guilty. Again, it only takes one jury member. Not the majority, not 2/3, and not all twelve. Just one.

Then I must be mistaken. I thought it was the other way around (all twelve must say guilty for conviction, anything less is not guilty). You might be correct then.
