Re: Casey Anthony Found Not Guilty
I agree that it wasn't as big a OJ but it was just as big if not bigger than OJ when it came to the female demographic."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."

She will never be "free" again. But that still beats spending the rest of your life in jail or the death(which she was facing). Regardless of what she does with the rest of her life people will always judge. She just has to live her life and keep it moving forward.Well, it depends on who you are. That was part of the point of my previous post. Suffering comes in many different packages for people. Some people can't stand the heat of freedom if it means always having a constant breathing down your neck, whether you really did it or not. She will never be truly "free" again.
I have my doubts and honestly I don't know her from a hole in the wall. Shes going to have to deal with the public court of opinion. Shouldn't be that way but that's the way our country operates.Comment

Nothing? I think that's a bit of a stretch.
Should they be compared seriously? Not too much IMO.
Both share courtroom dramas played out in front of the country, with overwhelming evidence they murdered... but got off. Both cases were 24/7 scrutinized. I'm not quite sure how they have nothing in common.
Are they different dynamics overall? Probably. OJ's case was obviously much more groundbreaking in terms of reality television and the fact that he was a celebrity and former star athlete.
They still certainly have something in common regardless.Comment

Okay I'll give you the fact that it was a chance for the media to make money.Nothing? I think that's a bit of a stretch.

Media makes money. They are private businesses after all. That's the goal.Comment

Re: Casey Anthony Found Not Guilty
Oh no doubt but fame is fleeting and from what I know of her she will blow through that money she makes quickly. And in a few years this will not be a case many care about. As for her writing a book or something, I seriously can't see her being mature enough to be able to put the commitment into something like that. She is going to make money out of this. Networks are going to be lining up to get an exclusive interview with her. People are obsessed with this case and the amount of viewers that are going to tune in is going to lead to a crazy amount of advertising dollars.
Its actually great business from a network perspective.
Don't be surprised to see her do an exclusive interview or two, disappear off the face of the earth for 5 years, then hear about her going into porn for vivid entertainment when she has no other real options.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: Casey Anthony Found Not Guilty
The two cases are completely different. What OJ did was in cold blood. The picture painted about Anthony was because she wanted to party? I find that hard to believe. Do I doubt she was the cause for her daughters death? No , but the two have nothing in common outside of the media sensationalizing the two.Comment

I wouldn't compare this case to OJs. Better to compare it to Amanda Knox's. American media happy to portray one as innocent and one as guilty on fairly similar body of evidence. Very hard for a fair trial with all the media hype around the case, even with a sequestered jury.
One question, was there only a charge of first degree murder? Couldn't they have tried for second degree or manslaughter where there would be a greater chance of getting a conviction.Comment

They found her not guilty of manslaughter as well.I wouldn't compare this case to OJs. Better to compare it to Amanda Knox's.
