Re: Most annoying words, terms, phrases
"I made a mistake." When it fact, you made a decision.
If I'm reaching for the potatoes, and knock over my glass of milk...that imo, is a "mistake". If you walk into a gas station with a gun, and shoot/kill the person behind the cash register, imo...that's a "decision" you made. Not a mistake.
Kinda drives me nuts when some people seem to be a tad mixed up between what's a mistake...and what's a decision.1969 NFL ChampionsComment

Re: Most annoying words, terms, phrases
Not really a phrase, but you know when people are using their fingers to count something?
I find it annoying when people count 2 things (sometimes even 1!) and use this. It's so overused these days...My Specs:

Re: Most annoying words, terms, phrases
I'm sure these have been said here's mine:
Good Morning/Good Night Facebook.
I AX'ed her to go out with me Friday.
People that refer to what their GF/BF/Fiance/husband/wife said/did/thinks all the time when you talk to them. You are not Adam Sandler in the Waterboy. Nobody cares what "mama" said.
As for the No problem/You're Welcome. I say No problem. I would have done the job anyway whether you thanked me or not. When you say thanks, I'm saying it was nothing to do this. People who make an issue of this throw away phrase are probably are looking for a problem in the first place.Last edited by lilbiggio; 11-11-2011, 11:04 AM.Comment

Re: Most annoying words, terms, phrases
There is a negative and rude connotation to replying Thank You with "No Problem." I only use it when I'm talking with people I know, but if I'm replying to a stranger I will say "my pleasure" or "thank you."

Re: Most annoying words, terms, phrases
I like "no problem" as a reply. I actually feel weird saying "you're welcome", almost as if I'm saying "yeah, it was an effort, you are welcome for me putting forth said effort", whereas "no problem" is basically stating "oh you don't need to thank me, it was no problem"Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment
