Living Room, I was thinking a 42" or so.

Yeah, 42" is about as big as you'd want to go. Anything bigger would be too much, in my opinion.

Speaking of scary, I fly a lot and every single time I'm about to fly somewhere I somehow end up seeing a show about plane crashes or read a news story about mechanical errors on aircraft. Every single time without fail.

Didn't get a job after hyping myself up for a company and position I wanted to work the past three months. Now I feel like total and utter crap, and like the whole thing was a waste of everyone's time.

            I have a 40" in my bedroom...

It's on a wall mount above my bed, that adjusts, so it's good for laying in bed and watching movies or sitting in a chair..

I know how that feels, Blzer. Don't let it get you too down. Just because one place closes their doors doesn't mean that some other place won't open their door to you.

I know it sounds like a cliche, but just trust me. I don't know if you've followed my story over the last year or so, but Amazon interviewed me in person in Seattle. I was 500% hoping I got the job, and I was super hyped. It didn't happen.

But fate had a plan, and my fiance didn't get into the school in Seattle she wanted to get into. She got into UO, and I found a job where I needed to be.

Just a little story that may not help any, but keep your head up, keep being optimistic, and go after every opportunity like a Barry Bonds after a needle (you think I would let the entire post go by without needling you? (oh ho!)).

It's crazy but, when I fly without my kids, I'm a white knuckle flyer. When they're with me I'm don't worry at all. My reasoning for this, if we go down we all go together. I fear for my children if they didn't have me.

Flying in a commercial plane is much safer than driving a car.

                    1. I rather drive then fly. I like my space and privacy.

                    2. I was looking for a screw driver in the closet and found an unopened 18v battery pack that I bought from Home Depot over a year ago. Hell it was still in the bag along with the receipt.

So now I have 3 18v battery packs.

The fear of flying is worse then actually flying. Once you're strapped in, nothing to it, but to do it. Plus, planes are so cool nowadays. I flew back in 2000 for the first time, then flew again in 2010. Now they have trip trackers (basically a GPS, so you can see your flight's path and how long/far to go), TV, phones, everything. Don't remember any of that stuff from 2000. Plus, we have iPod's, phones and other stuff to keep you occupied.

No one's afraid of flying. They're afraid of crashing.

Thanks by the way, GIGGAS. I need that getter-upper.

I remember when I took my first flight which wasn't that far from now, it was on April, and I was scared to death. I couldn't stand still, I was hyperactive and shaking, asking questions every 10 seconds and watching through the windows constantly. Then when the plane launched I relaxed almost immediately and I felt better. After that I took four more flights and I didn't act like the first time.
I believe most of the worries one can have is before the takeoff or at least that's what I think.

No problem. The way I see it, OS is a family. A bizarre family with what seems to be millions of cranky uncles complaining about one thing over and over again, but a family nonetheless.

You also have to take that odds into perspective. While you could crash, 9.99 times out of 1, you will be just fine. As stated, you're a lot safer in a plane than in a car. You can't beat the time saved traveling from point A to B.

When a serious accident does happen, don't you have a much better chance of getting help if you're on the ground, instead of 30,000 feet above it, though?
