Well, I am officially transferring to UNC-Greensboro now to major in economics.
It was something I just felt I had to do due to my struggles in physics and chemistry and the lack of job prospects for meteorology students. Unfortunately, my chances of getting into NC State's College of Management were slim to none as a result of my mediocre GPA and the fact that the College of Management has little to no space available at this time of year. The cross-major advisor I saw basically told me I had no chance to get into it, so here I am.
UNCG actually has a pretty good business school from what I understand, so all is well, I suppose. I also am excited about getting to restart my GPA and get rid of my ugly 2.8ish GPA I had acquired during my two years at NC State (A D in Chemistry II and an F in Physics II didn't help that, I might add...).
I will miss meteorology, but I need to think about the rest of my life and job prospects. I also enjoy economics and follow it quite a bit on my own, so I am excited about it.
I'll also save a boatload of cash living at home (plus, tuition is cheaper than at NC State, anyways, and I don't have to pay for an expensive meal plan).
