I had my yearly review today. I got a nice 5% rate increase, plus got some extra news on top of it. Since we're growing so much, they're considering having an accounting supervisor oversee the largest offices. The locations that they specifically mentioned were Mobile, AL, Centennial, CO, Longbeach, CA, Phoenix and Corpus Christi.

I don't think it would be anytime soon, but moving back to Mobile would my first choice. I think that I would get the most bang for my buck for a home there. Also being closer to my parents, further away from my fiancee's parents and 45 minutes away from the beach are all positives in my book.

Regarding "jorts" I'm not a fan of that look at all. I usually wear shorts that go down close to the knees but not jeans material.

I don't get all the hate for 'jorts" I wear them and cargo shorts, both loose fit and going down to the top of my knees when standing.

The Alabama summer's humidity has kicked in.

I just got home from work, fed the dogs and cats and then took the inside dog for a walk. I got back in and could barely get my shirt of, because it was stuck to me.

I just got home from work, fed the dogs and cats and then took the inside dog for a walk. I got back in and could barely get my shirt of, because it was stuck to me.

We've had 5 straight days of 105+ degree heat where I'm at.

Yep, the entire Southern US has been blasted by this heat wave.

It's been in the triple digits here, since last Thursday.

I didn't pay much attention to it, over the weekend. I was lit half the weekend and always had water close by. Now that I'm back at work, it's a lot more noticeable. It's just really humid outside, right now.

The rain today broke the heat for a bit, but once it cleared, it was hot. We're looking at 30-40% chance of rain for the rest of the week. I wish we could just get one day of rain...

OK so with my landlord ignoring my emails & my advocates phone calls, how long should I wait before taking legal action? Is that a reasonable avenue? My apartment indoor temp has been 95+ for 4 straight days. My lease clearly states that the a/c is the landlords responsibility.

Been pretty hot up here in the Northeast too. Pittsburgh has already had 9 90-degree days this summer with it expected to hit 90 again 3 of the next 4 days. Average is 7 90-degree days per summer and it's barely even July, still another 2 months to go.

Sheesh, most I ever downed in one sitting was 24 during senior week my senior year in college. Was actually at Quaker Steak & Lube tonight and had 10 wings with Louisiana Licker sauce.

With this heat, I'd say you've already waited long enough. Time to go over the landlords head to the next level whatever that may be.

I just wish this place had an office I could go to and complain face to face every day. It's too easy for them to simply ignore emails and phone calls.
