Damn GMSS how can you hate music? I didnt think that was possible for anybody to hate all music.

I know, the guy who invented music stole the idea from you back in 10,000 BC and now you resent the form of art all together. That is the only possible explanation.

Because of my childhood. I associate music with alcoholism. My father was an alcoholic and use to play music all the time & sing all the time. And every time I heard that record player going and him singing, it was a good 90% chance I would get in trouble for some BS reason he would make up in his head.

Most of the time it was for not doing something that he never told me to do in the 1st place. I would say but you never told me to do it, oh you calling me a liar huh ? Didn't matter, there was no correct answer. Hell once I got a whipping because it was ONE piece of paper in the trash can, so therefore in his eyes I didn't empty the trash can because of that one piece of paper that he himself threw in there after I empty the trashed. Got to the point I was like WTF ever, get it over with for I can go back to playing my MF'ng game. I said that in my mind of course. Breathing too loud ? That was a whooping. Did I just hear you exhale ? Whooping. C on a quiz or test ? Whooping. B minus ? that is too close to a C, whooping. Moving too slow when I told you to do something ? Whooping

Now mind you, I didn't get whippings with a regular belt or a belt period. I got hit with a 3 inch thick raw hide strap, that was rough and not smooth at all.

Also mind you, I was named after him. He never did like the fact that I had his name. He would let me know on a regular basis he didn't like it because I didn't act like him or do the things he did. So every day I would hear you have my name and your not representing my name right, you should have been named something else. Hell even today he still says that from time to time.

Then one day when I was around 9 or 10, he banned music of all kind in the house. He threw all his records and cassette tapes in the trash. Threw my sister Michael Jackson album in the trash and she was a HUGE fan. She cried for days.

He called the cable company and had all the music channels blocked. Therefore I had no access to music at all. Years go by, I was in high school, I bought Bone Thugs n Harmony cassette tape and one of those Walkman things.

I was really sneaky about it. I threw the receipt, the bag and all the packaging on the ground blocks away from the house. Put everything in my book bag. A week later, my sister got in trouble and was about to get a whooping and out of the blue she yells my name and says he got Bone Thugs n Harmony tape, and a walkman in his book bag. I seen it.

I was like WTF.........no she didn't. My dad threw her to the side in one smooth motion and called my name and said bring it here. So my sister was out of the frying pan and I was in her place.

He took the walkman, threw it on the floor and stomped on it until broke into pieces. Picked it up, ripped the door off of it and threw it into the ground, where it broke into even more pieces. Then he took my tape, looked me directly in the eyes with a smirk on his face and pulled out the spool of tape from the cassette tape.

About 5 minutes later, all the tape was pulled out. Then when it made it to the end, he yanked on it real hard for it would snap so you couldn't rewind back on there. Then he snapped the cassette in half. Picked up the spool of tape and threw it at me and said throw that crap in the garbage, all with having that damn smirk on his face.

I was so mad. That tape cost me $15, that walkman was $20. I never bought another tape ever again. There was no point because since that incident he checked my bag, my coat and my room every week looking for music. So from the age of 9 or 10 on up until I was 18 when I left my parents house, I was music less.

Then all of a sudden I get out the military, music was allowed in the house again. Only person there how ever was my younger brother. But he got to listen to all kinds of music growing up.

I was thinking ain't that a bitch......I got beatings for listening to it and now it is acceptable now ?

So it is like now.....I can careless about music.

I've always been leery of the Facebook dating thing. I've been talking music with this girl I went to high-school with a couple times a week through Facebook and Spotify. She is supposedly going to the same concert next month and I offered her a ride, but that's like 3 weeks from now and daddy horny, Michael. I think there are extracurricular activities we both are involved in, but that's seems even more creepy.

Which brings me back to music...

In the car I have Soundgarden's Louder than Love in my CD player.

On my record player right now is, coincidentally enough, Soundgarden's Badmotorfinger. Albums I've played in the last week include Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Shovels & Rope, Black Mountain, and a little bit of Townes Van Zandt (who is probably one of my top 3 singer-songwriters).

Looking at the picture, she might have Instagram syndrome. It's where an ok looking girl posts pictures of herself on Instagram and immediately becomes sexy as hell. It's a dangerous thing from their species so watch out.
