Hmmm, what would be better, losing to a SEC team in the national championship or Syracuse football...

I'd prefer the college teams I root for to be as good as possible all the time. If that means being in the championship but losing, so be it. You get better recruits by being a bigger name college, and become a bigger name college by being good, and better recruits usually make the team better.

When it comes to pros, it's a bit of a mix. If my team has holes that need to be fixed, then I'd prefer to be last than second. If my team is in desperate need of a quarterback, then damn right I'd be on the #SuckForLuck bandwagon. But other sports where the draft order is a bit more mixed up (like the NBA), I'm not sure if I'd want to be dead last. Then you have things like auto racing where you want to finish as high as possible. Higher finish equals more money equals better equipment and better drivers wanting to sign with your team. That's why Red Bull Renaut and Ferrari will always be so dominant in Formula 1, and Hendrick will always be so dominant in NASCAR.
If your team is in desperate need of a quarterback they probably aren't going to make it to the championship game. Any team that makes it that far is in pretty good shape.

I'd just rather my team have a taste of winning. Losing in the championship game could leave them with a hunger that could possibly push them over the top next year. I'll take my chances with that. As a fan of the Cowboys, who has. It been relevant in almost 20 years, I wanna win.

What would suck more getting kicked in the sack or having no balls at all?

Eagles from like 2002-2009. The one year they went 6-10 was so much worse than every other year that they were in the playoffs

It's a no brainer in College anyways, the only way to get better is to win games basically as more people want to go to LSU then say whoever finished last in the SEC this year.

Think it depends on the sport. For football where the draft can really effect your team quickly I would rather come in last place than lose in the champioship game. Now if we're talking baseball I would rather lose in the championship game.

                            The logic does not compute.

If you have a team that loses in the championship game, you don't need a top pick to get better, because you're already really ****ing good.

But clearly you're not good enough, in my mind it's either super bowl or your season was a failure. I guess it could depend on the team too. Like if the Ravens don't win the super bowl I see the season as a failure, mainly because their window is closing whereas I think the season was a great success for a team like the Texans whose window is much wider and they lost a lot of key players. So I think it also depends a lot on the team.
