The Crown Royal Bag is legendary because as a kid, you always found some use for it. Whether it'd be Marbles or Loose Change, etc. You ALWAYS had a use for it.

Dude, I see tons now at boardgaming conventions and use them at home. They are priceless accessories!

Alright, this is going to be the nerdiest **** I've ever said, but I just had to correct you. Pokemon cards came out before Yu-Gi-Oh did. Unless you mean "older brother" as in Yu-Gi-Oh>Pokemon (Gen.1), in which case this is going to become a full-out brawl.

I was into POGs, yo-yos, Pokemon, but around the kids my age at the time (10 or so around 2000), everybody I knew starting getting skateboards because of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.

Oh no, I know that. I meant older brother as in Yu-Gi-Oh cards were more advanced than Pokemon cards were because of how the actual game was played.

I started off with baseball cards, but things got real once I started collecting basketball cards. Basketball cards were big around my neighborhood and school. Trading taught me the art of negotiation and many of our deals took hours to complete. I had a real nice collection, I don't know where they are anymore. Maybe they're still sitting in the closet at my mom's house.

Rollerblades. I know I can't be the only one who used to get down on these.

Basketball and football cards were a big thing. I still have all mine in the closet.

Also remember when Fila made a big comeback in the early-mid 90's. I forget the name of the shoe, but it was basically Fila's version of the Air Force 1. Seemed like everybody had a pair of whites with different color logos.

Oh yeah, Eastbay catalogs. People would bring the new Eastbay to school and we'd huddle around them during PE trying to see all the shoes.

one more, I think this was just at my high school. We (guys) would make our girlfriends give us a hair tie to put on our wrist. As like a man thing in that we, were taking something from them. (I realize this makes no sense now). Looking back on it, I realized we were letting them mark their territory.

When girls would get a little jealous because you were wearing another girls hairtie instead of hers was the best feeling.

I used to kill these back in high school. Champs had them two pair for $89! Cant beat that. So unlike everyone dropping 90+ on air forces. I stocked up on the two for 89 Filas. Lol

And this was my school years from 2001-2005. Haha.

That is so true........Too many young people nowadays are softer than a bag of cotton. You can't even joke with them at all because of the following:

1. They might kill themselves over it
2. They might cry
3. They will run home, tell their mom and their mom try to sue you for emotional damage.


I remember during the 80s and early 90s we use to slap box. It was manly, it was fun and it helped you improve your fighting skills.

Back in school it was the cool thing to do to dis on the schools lunch. Now, i'd pay the same amount as an extra value meal at your favorite fast food joint to get my hands on some chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, and a few rolls.

Yep that's pretty much the shoe. When they came out, they cost about 89 for one pair, but I remember you could get a similar deal to the one you said at a store called Mr. Alan's. Seemed like everybody had a a pair of those shoes back then. Then when the Grant Hills came out, forget about it.

Also, wearing basketball jerseys. I had 2 MJ jerseys: Red Chicago Bulls and UNC. Also had a Alonzo Mourning jersey.

Oh man basketball jerseys, forgot about those being majorly popular for a while, back in grade school I remember wearing my Shawn Kemp Super Sonics jersey and then when the Bulls came out with their black alternate I remember rushing out to get a Jordan.

I've seen Starter jackets mentioned. I had a those. A Bulls and a Blackhawks to name a couple.
