Steelerfan, you are going to be so disappointed when you see the photo my wife had taken with Mary and my Bills helmet. I want her to decide between my 2 favourite teams, but my wife is pushing the Bills.

I've lived my entire life in Cleveland and in Houston. The two places where the Steelers are hated the most (well, Houston has fallen behind Baltimore and Cincinnati since the AFC Central and the Oilers went away). THAT is what built my character.

My daughter, who is 14, has always been 100% Steelers. The one thing you'll find is that your daughter will love what you love. Having a daughter is easily the greatest thing that can happen to a man.

I have 2 boys (13 and 9) and a daughter (soon to be 3) and she is CRAZY!!!
The boys are so laid-back and easy going, but her??? OCD big time! And Bossy??? Lord help me!!!

But I love her to death. She's gonna be my little bestie when my boys no longer consider me cool to hang with.

Thanks Money. So far, she's very calm and she is sleeping and eating well...knock on wood. It's incredible being a father.

I have 2 sons, totally opposite ends of the spectrum. My 3 year old OCD nuts, bossy, future hall monitor class president type. My 13 moth old is so chill, and smiley, dude just seems likes he's going to be a chill, relaxed, dude. Future Bro type guy. When people say "they are going to be best friends" Im like "" uhhh probably not.

I don't remember sharing this, if I did my apologies. This is my spinal cord after the accident. The L2 vertebrae is destroyed and completely out of alignment with the spinal column. The nerve bundle which is normally bigger than a nickel is compressed to less than a mm.

Two rods now run from my L3 to T11 vertebra and I have 5 horizontal rungs that make it look like a step ladder. They will be there for the rest of my life.

With my baby girl being born and the 4 year anniversary approaching I find myself thinking of how close I came to not being here and experiencing the happiest time of my life. So damn appreciative of all your support over the years.

Man that X-ray is haunting. It's a miracle you're here.

To the second part, ain't it funny how life works? You've gone through something tougher then majority of us ever will have to, and here you are on the other side with a beautiful daughter. Just an incredible contrast. The sheer valley of that injury to the peak of the feeling of fatherhood is mind boggling to me. Can't even fathom.
