Just an update gentlemen, tomorrow is discovery. This is where their lawyer tries to dig right into the person I am. Well, I've been documented on tv from the time of the accident right up to Mike Holmes and then another tv news segment on the accident and my back last Christmas. I'm excited to see how's this goes, I'm going to be as honest as I can be. I unfortunately don't remember everything, my wife ran the show when I was in the hospital. I hope they see what I have gone through and how far I've come since then.

On a good note. I was in the therapeutic pool today, it was frigging tough, but it was fun. I think this will help me greatly. Unfortunately, tonight I had my left leg give out on me! It was almost a yard sale in my dinning room. Close call.

Dang I wish I can find the episode Mike! Been stuck in the Philippines so I'll have to find it online. Being a former shoe head, couldn't help but get excited seeing your collection and sick display. Glad to see you doing much better man.

My sleeping pills must have kicked in when I typed this, because I don't remember typing this! Crazy. It is the insurance lawyer that does the questioning. He was a very nice guy and as I said, I was as honest as I could be. They had information on everything. It's amazing how thorough they are. I understand the need for it, so many people probably try to take advantage of insurance companies and personal lawsuits that they have to make sure the person is being honest. How many people made money off of spilling hot coffee in their laps?

As for winning, today was about discovering the person I was before and since the accident. Sounds very weird, but as I said the lawyer was very nice and told him what I remembered. I could never be a lawyer, I'm no where near smart enough and I was meant to be a teacher.

Thanks man, try www.hgtv.ca or www.hgtv.com - season 1, episode 7 "If the shoe fits". I know it was on in the States for the first time last month...I have no idea about the Philippines?!?

Thanks Dan. It was actually a little scary, when it happens I just buckle and I grab for whatever I can to stay upright. I was definitely lucky, if it happened on the stairs...I don't even want to think about it.

Came across this story, All I'll say is stay tough mate, you certainly seem constructed of hard stuff. Whomever done this will have their day at some point. As they say... Every dog has its day!!!

Most important thing is getting back to the best you can be and moving forward. You're recovery sounds remarkable and long may it continue. I'll keep my eyes on this thread and keep you in my thoughts.

I've seen the Holmes clips online and I'm happy for what he was able to do for you. You definitely deserve it!

This episode just aired in Virginia. Pretty cool to put a face with the name. Mike (both of em) is a really great guy. So glad he was able to help you out a bit.

^ thanks gentlemen. Know that I'm doing better. I don't use the ski poles anymore and my walking is a lot better. I'm 20 pounds heavier than I was when this was filmed and I'm battling everyday to get back to my old self. The Holmes team were amazing and initially came to do our backyard, and ended up doing so much more.

Your prayers and thoughts are greatly appreciated.

I'm starting HGH (prescribed by a doctor, completely above board/no shady business) soon in hopes that it will help with my recovery, and hopefully help me get me back to 195 pounds. I hope it helps the speed at which I'm currently recovering.
