That awesome. Mike Holmes has always been my favorite show on HGTV. Can't wait to watch it when it airs.

Can't wait to see the full episode, and Mike you have a lovely lady there.

One question: about how many people are actually on-site for this kind of show? I know in a short time frame they have to work in, to get these jobs done must take a lot of hands, more than you see on camera?
On tv it said 21 days, but if I remember correctly it was closer to 30 days they were on site. They had a crew of about 10 people, plus the contractors and the camera crew. So approximately 25 people! The landscapers were here until 9-10pm some nights! Everyone I came in contact with we're absolutely amazing and kind! His children are awesome. They worked their butts off. The entire Reno costed $111,000, without the cost of their labour. It was unreal, and they did not show everything they did for us. It's crazy, because when they came the first time they were only looking at the backyard. Trina and I were extremely blessed and lucky to have them come into our lives.

      23 thanks for posting.

Those videos are 6 months after the accident and I was down to 150 pounds. Currently 180!

Thanks again for all the kind words!

P.S. I don't use the walking poles anymore.

I honestly just now discovered this thread. Wow.

You seem like a really strong person Mike, your attitude throughout this thread/ordeal has been inspirational.

You seem to have a great ability to tackle adversity.

Much respect. I really hope the people that attacked you get blasted with some awful universal karma retribution.

        Keep up the fight man.

Thanks, I just found out they showed this episode in the states. This time last year they were working on the house. This year has gone by quickly.

Unfortunately not. It seems that whoever ran me over got away with it. As for me, my walking is improving, but I'm still experiencing pain. The nerve pain is the worse part. It feels like fire. As for the lawsuit, I have discovery on October 30th. It's when I meet with my lawyers and the insurance companies lawyers. This is when they will decide if they want to settle or go to court. It's all too confusing to me.

                Thanks for asking.

Hope you get every penny you deserve, Mike!

I bet at this point you don't care as much about them catching the coward who did this as you do about returning to as normal as possible. You've struck me as the type of guy who says hey this is how it is and I'm gonna do my damnedest to make the most of it. I'm sure it would be nice to umm, have a chat with your attacker, though.

This just makes my blood boil. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you're handling this situation as well as you are, but I cannot get over when people get away with unjustified violent crimes like this.

Thanks man, that means a lot. Ever since the accident and when I was told that there was a chance that I would walk again, I've always been more concerned about getting back to normal. They have never really been my concern, that being said...when I get back to my old self, I would not pass up an opportunity to have a face to face with them, and ask them if they meant to do it.

What pisses me off is that, I figure they were 16-25 years old and they were driving their parents minivan, and when they came home their parents covered it up. If I had done something like this as a kid, my Dad would have taken me to the police station.

Amen. I would have hauled my kid to the station personally.
