Re: OS Firearms Thread
Does anyone have a suggestion for a shotgun? I'm hoping to purchase one this summer during the duration of my internship. I'll be using mostly for clay targets and some hunting. I know next to nothing about guns, but a friend of mine has me getting into it. I know I'll be using it quite often, so I'd prefer one that is of quality, with a "most bang for your buck" price. Also I'm not sure whether I'd prefer pump or semi-automatic. I would like something that is durable, so I'm guessing semi-automatic is the way to go? Thanks in advance.Comment

Re: OS Firearms Thread
Funny you posted this. I just put a down payment on one and put up my M&P 40 Shield for sale. My buddy just got an XDs last week, and I was amazed. For a subcompact 45, it shoots extremely well. And as much as you would think it would have a harsh kick to it, it's not bad at all. I knew I needed one, and that it would replace my M&P Shield for daily carry. As luck would have it, I walked into the gun shop down the road and they had JUST gotten one in. Put a down payment on it right then and there.
Now I just need to wait for my Shield to sell...Comment

Re: OS Firearms Thread
So the "great" state of IL just finally wised up and became the 50th state to legalize Conceal Carry of firearms. With one simple stroke of the pen, they have just generated $45M in revenue for the state budget, not to mention upholding the US Constitution!

I'm looking to go get a .444 for deer season in couple weeks. Going to just go with the CVA Elite Stalker

I also decided to try a new recipe for squirrel, chose this one. Came out pretty fantastic, only thing I want to change next time is add some andouille sausage.

What don't you like about the safety? I've got the 45 XDs, and the safety has never between an issue for me. If I wasn't comfortable with it, it wouldn't be my primary carry. However, I've never fired the full size XD, so I can't speak for it.

Re: OS Firearms Thread
Any particular brands your looking at? I don't know if you have plans to modify the lower but if you are I would suggest building the lower with the mods you want. If you aren't comfortable with building the lower yourself you can always send it to a place like ADCO to put it together for you. Then just slap whatever upper you like on top.
By the way primary arms are selling stripped Aero lowers for 70 bucks. Which is a steal.
