Nice trip down memory lane. Loved 4th - 8th grade. Especially when I got into Accent (our school district's gifted and talented program). We actually got a day away from the regular school and studied fun stuff.Comment

God, I remember goosebumps and the tv show that came on as well. I also know im not the only one that remembers this book:
Also did anyone play the game Sharks and Surfers with those scooters? Basically there was 1 Shark and the rest of the class were surfers. The gym teacher set out giant paint ball walls and such all over the floor and such and gave us all those scooters. The goal of the Shark was to tag the surfers, the last surfer left won. The paint ball "bases" were land that the sharks couldnt get you in however you couldnt go the each base until you made a lap around the gym. Was really fun and I was a beast.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

I would have been in 5th grade around 1992-ish, so a lot of this hits at home with me as well:
Let’s face it, nothing beats the ‘90s! And just because you were born a decade or so ago, doesn't mean you embraced all of its perks. Here's a list of what you absolutely must remember to consider yourself a '90s kid.
Did anyone mention Notebook Games for your trapper keeper yet?? I played the **** out of the baseball one...Last edited by DickDalewood; 09-29-2012, 02:53 PM.Comment

My favorite PE activity was always Scooter Soccer, which involved those scooters and a giant inflatable soccer ball (kind of like a beach ball). That was AWESOME. I also remember the ITBS tests... though being from the state in the test's namesake, that shouldn't surprise you.MLB: Minnesota Twins

Did Matt Christopher write the novel about the cross-handed baseball player? I need to find out what that story was called or who the author was, and Christopher sounds a bit familiar.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
