Re: Off Topic 2013
I love working for this company sometimes. We get quarterly $40 debit cards just to participate in the health/wellness program. All you have to do is answer a phone call from the nurse.
I love putting in more effort for a business that offers those extra incentives.
FIFA 14, here I come.
I don't have time to play all these new games (NCAA 14, Madden, GTA, and FIFA) but I'm holding off of next gen consoles for a couple reasons... $ and reliability. These things always have bugs and flaws when they first come out.EXPERIENCE MAYHEM FOOTBALLComment

I don't think it's that serious really.
Personally, I prefer a nice long vacation over a bunch of 3 day weekends.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: Off Topic 2013
Must be nice to be able to take leave whenever you want. We used to have to give 6-8 weeks notice and even then it would be denied most of the time.
When everyone left for deployment last time (save for those of us EASing soon) they got a week and they were told they'd make it up to them on the backend. They only got 10 days post-deployment leave when they got back.
Sucks for them. I think I took leave... 4 times in 4 years. Once for a 2 week Vegas trip that coincided with my ex's spring break, once for Christmas, and then 2 forced times (once after bootcamp and once when PCSing.) Then twice for convo leave, but as you may know that doesn't count against us.badComment

Re: Off Topic 2013
I actually changed my vacation up for the beginning of October. I've got almost 60 hours to burn next month.
I'm off Wednesday and Sunday every week anyways, so I bumped my vacation up so I could take advantage of that and get some extra off days.
Leaving for Daytona in exactly two weeks.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
One of the things I do look forward to once I graduate is trying to save up money to go to some places either during spring break or the summer. My family was never the rich one so most of my vacations as a kid were to Disney or the family cabin near Lake Okeechobee, I've rarely ever been outside of FL.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Off Topic 2013
Funny, because a trip to Disney is what a lot of people consider a nice trip. When I was a kid, I always wanted to go and my parents never would or could, really.
I got a little older and we did make a trip out west to California, Nevada, Mexico, etc.
I guess it's because you don't have to pay much in gas or for travel. It's a 10 hour-ish drive from my driveway to Daytona Beach.. lol.
I think that's why a lot of people vacation to Panama City or New Orleans. They are both within a 6 hour drive.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
Yeah as a kid Disney was an awesome trip, I still remember some of the first time I went as a kid after I moved from LA to FL. Once I hit 14 or so my interest in Disney plummeted cause we went so much, but I realized how cheap it was for us compared to going anywhere else. I still really have no desire to go back until I get a serious GF or a family.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

The procedure itself wasn't terrible, but I'm still a little sore and I can't really chew solid food on that side yet.Comment
