Maybe not the best place to ask, but I didn't want to filter through the responses in the "other place."

What team(s) would be good to use for a franchise in NBA 2k? I'm leaning towards Pacers, Clippers, Wizards (gotta stay local), and Warriors. Is is possible to run with more than one team in a franchise?

I'm almost positive you can only control one team with the new franchise mode 2K put in.

Like Reds said, it depends on if you're in "win now" mode or want to build a team from the ground up. For me, I'm trying to decide between Boston and New Orleans, but I'm about 80/20 Celtics right now. I may end up changing my mind though, especially after I go to a few more Pelicans games.

CG you can control as many teams as you want.

NG you can only control one team.

I like teams that have a lot of different jersey options so I don't have to use the same one in the games I play. The Pelicans would probably be a better team to play with since they have a great PG and a PF that is on the verge of stardom in Davis.

Bottom dweller- Wizards (although they have a great young backcourt in Wall and Beal, plus a decent PF/C in Gortat and Nene, just need a good SF and they are playoff caliber).
Another bottom dweller would be the Bobcats, but they have some nice young pieces as well.

Mid-level- Pelicans

Contender- Clippers/Warriors

I wouldn't sell the Pacers short as a contender. I've always had a soft spot in for them since the Reggie Miller days. Boston isn't going anywhere this year so I would really love to see them take out Miami.

Fresh, if you like defense then go with them... If you like offense go with the Warriors or Clippers.

I play 8-10 minutes and a full 82 game schedule (never finish).

Excited to use the Celtics in a basketball game again. No fun playing as a contender for me. And my Celtics absolutely stink this year. My first move will be to trade Wallace. He cares about winning too much. No room for that on my squad. Trying to tank for the virtual #1 overall generic player.

2k's draft classes are awful. That is why I wait for the real life ones to come out and CWSapp and Dreece's fictional draft classes.

12 minute quarters and the full schedule. I'm more interested in the GM aspect so I don't play a ton of games. I also like that I can play a quarter or 2 then sim the rest of the game. I wish they had something like Madden and NCAA where I could sim to the start of the 4th and play from there though.

I'm a stat junkie, so I have to play the full 12 minute quarters. I've never completed a full 82 game season though. I think I could, but I also play a lot of exhibition matches so I can experiment with different teams. That cuts into my season play a bit.

I usually go 8 min, 82 games, but have never gotten through a season, old association always got stale for me, so I reaaaaalllllyyyy like what I've seen about MyGM.

Looking forward to a Trail Blazers MyGM in addition to my Hawks one I'll have going.
