Hey BurghFan, question. I'm watching the Pitt/Cuse game from '99 off the DVR and Pitt is playing in Pitt Stadium. Why in the hell did Pitt demolish this stadium and start playing at the Steelers' stadium in '01? Stadium reminds me a lot of Vanderbilt Stadium but it holds 60,000 people.
I'll never understand metro universities not playing on campus. UAB, Temple, USF, and Pitt all need on-campus stadiums.Twitter

Don't really know all the reasoning behind the move, but Pitt stadium was old (opened in 1925) I'd only ever been to 2 games at Pitt stadium when I was in 6th and 8th grade, so I don't remember it too well, but I imagine the facilities were pretty old and outdated and I imagine there was no room to expand and upgrade as it was fairly closely surrounded by several other buildings including the medical and dental schools.. Parking was probably a problem too. Peterson Events Center, a dormitory, and a sports training complex (or something like that) now sit on the site. Maybe just use it towards PS+ and then get abunch of free games through the PS+ subscription(though I believe you'd only be able to play them as long as you have PS+)
lol, I don't remember how much money I have on my PSN account, but I think it might be a few dollars? I actually decided to buy a MLB The Show avatar(since they had team logos on it) since it was only like 50 cents anyways and I had money just lying around on that account.
Too bad there really wasn't anything I could spend like $3 on.Comment
