Yeah that's how I felt in high school where if you had the day off you had to score the game. But I don't feel that way as a fan

Yea I score every MLB game I go to, doesn't detract me from the action but totally understand why some would have no desire to do it.

Every time I try and do it I get through like 4 innings and just stop caring.

Whenever I go to MLB games I have to keep score. Have to. Force of habit I guess, since from my 8th grade year until my junior year, I kept scorebook for my HS varsity team, since I didn't play on the varsity. I love doing it, for whatever strange reason. It's kind of a lost art.

Scoring games as a fan brings you so much closer to the game. And if you score like I do, as in every pitch is recorded, you're paying attention to every single ball and strike.

Seriously, I score MLB the show CPU vs CPU games. I love scoring baseball.

Yeah I get that. I dunno, I just seem to do that anyway tho. I also like to talk with people about the little things, a hitch in a guys swing and stuff. And I can't do that while scoring

I feel the exact opposite, but I see where you're coming from. Scoring games (esp every pitch, which is how I score them as well back when I did) made me feel disconnected from the game.

LOL, when I was younger I would score my PC MVP and Hardball games and then go out in the yard afterwards and show "highlights" with my wiffleball bat lol.

Nice to see some people still scoring ball games and passing it on to the younger generation.

I don't score games myself when i'm at a game. I have a hard enough time trying to see all the action through binoculars. I guess if I had full vision i'd be like one of those guys scoring every pitch.

Scoring a game is great. I did it at the game I went to on Friday. I could see how non-stat junkies wouldn't do it though. It also has me key in on the game at all times.

Yeah, same here. I can follow the ball from when the pitcher releases it to when it crosses the plate, but if the batter makes contact I immediately lose track of where it is. Usually I'm just trying to watch the game as best I can while occasioanlly munching on some food. That's the only thing I hate about going to sporting events though. The concession prices are outrageous.

By the way, that game looks like it was a bit of a nightmare to score because of all those subs.

Only reason I say that is that when I did it, our coach had me make note of the subs in the individual boxes, say a new guy came in to pitch in the 6th, the first batter he pitched to would have a line and the name of the new pitcher at the top of the box. If a guy came in to pinch hit, line and name went on the side. It could get a bit messy at times.

Something's up with my TV. It turns on, but the screen stays black and I get no sound either. It stays on when I try to turn it off, also. Any ideas?
