You are correct. No different then most sales you see in stores. It really isn't a sale majority of the time. You just paying the price you use to pay 3 months ago before they slowly creeped it up. So in Chefs case, he just getting the speed he use to have before.

I think there kinda getting rid of dodge ball in all schools, too much of a liability with kids getting hurt. Not that i agree with it, kids need to have some fun, but its not really surprising.
Hell, a few weeks ago a kid was suspended because he shaped his poptart like a gun, then they created a bill afterwards to prevent dumb crap like this from going on in the future. Its ridiculous how bad public schools are now days.
Heres the news story in that if anyone's interested.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2013
This thread needs some more Chicago flavor. Who remembers Cook Brothers Store ? I remember you had to be 18 to enter that store. Anyway I remember as a child that store was always a great mystery to me since they didn't allow kids in that store.
When I became of age and was able to enter that store I thought wow....that is it ? As a child damn near every Christmas gift came from there. My parents didn't shop at Toys R Us, instead it was always Cook Brothers. Basically it was like a ghetto poor mans version of Sam's Club. Had everything except food. TVs, furniture, clothes, toys, shoes, jewelry, appliances, etc.Comment

For consoles, big time. I prefer my FPS games (and MMOs of course) on PC. Controllers can't touch mouse and keyboard.
I would say sports games are the least touched category of games for me, followed by fighting games (though I have SF4 and Mortal Kombat Komplete).badComment

European Football: Manchester United, Brighton & Hove Albion
NCAA: UNI Panthers, Iowa Hawkeyes

Re: Off Topic 2013
This guy on Lockdown just said that working as a prison guard is no different than working at a department store (his only other previous employment). Umm...yeah? I'm pretty sure it is. When I go a department store I'm not on constant alert to avoid getting stabbed and/or raped.
Man I need to figure out how to get in on MLB's Random Acts of Opening day. Some dude just got tickets from the Royals because he said he wished he could be at Kaufman Stadium. So the team tweeted him and gave him tickets. The Red Sox gave a guy a hat, and the Rangers did something too.
