Rant of the moment......

1. People who bring up the fact they are married 5 to 8 times a day, everyday. And they been married for YEARS, so everybody know they are married, so why bring it up that often everyday, no matter the conversation.

2. People who like to say what you spending your money on is a waste of money and they can't see themselves doing that, but yet they go to Starbucks 3 times a day buying over priced coffee & over priced tea.

Out standing rant that been going of for many years.......

The amount of corruption in the Disabled American Veteran organization makes me want to punch holes in walls. If people in the USA really knew what goes on in the DAV, they would know why the VA health system is so backed up. It is a damn shame......

Yeah. I remember in high school we had a JV-Varsity scrimmage (using JV pitchers to pitch to the JV and varsity to the varsity) and a JV kid hit a liner right back at the pitcher that hit him right in the head. One of the scariest things I've ever seen, but fortunately he was all right. I honestly don't think that there is much that can be done about it. Part of the game unfortunately. I certainly don't think the face mask is a good idea for the exact reason you mentioned, but the reinforced hat is a good idea. But like I said, I'm not sure there's much you can do to stop it.

Do anybody around my age on OS, mid 30s or older ever wonder how damn different your life might have been if there was broadband internet everywhere, smartphones and all this social media available when you were in high school ?

I do this from time to time. When I was in high school, smartphones didn't exist, hell cell phones weren't even the norm, very few people had them. Social media wasn't around, internet was just now coming out, most houses didn't even have a PC in their homes and the few who did had AOL dial up.

Just like sometimes I wonder what my life would have been like if I grew up in a good neighborhood or grew up in a small town compared to growing up in a major city in the ghetto.

My first internet experience was when I was 18. It was Prodigy. Remember that? And actually before that, I had a cousin who played D&D and had to connect his telephone receiver to the computer to get on the bulletin boards.

Imagine how far we would be today, if todays technology were around 20 years ago.

I remember seeing the Prodigy commercials on tv. I didn't start using the internet until I was 20 and I had AOL dial up. Even though I ran websites with other people, I was really slow to adapt to technology in my personal life. I used it to make money, that was about it. But that was probably because back then I had dial up and on dial up internet is boring because you really can't do much on it. My friends how ever had DSL, so I would go over there and do the websites and stuff over there.

Hell I didn't even buy a cell phone until 2008 or 2009. It was just a little pre-paid Virgin Mobile flip phone. Then I bought the original Droid for Verizon, then moved on to the Iphone.

But yeah, if we had this technology 20 years ago, man how different my life would have been. I definitely would have spent way less time on the streets hanging out with criminals and doing the wrong things.

Found out as a high school coach, I can call up a school and tell them I want to attend their football game. I get two to three tickets, around the 50 yard line, no more than 5-6 rows back. If nothing else, I will keep coaching for this reason alone.
