Husker I completely understand what you're going through. The girl that I'm currently with has been with me for over a year now. The first few months were pretty great and we never wanted to spend time apart. Now all we do is argue and when alcohol is involved we get into very very bad arguments. She is my best friend and I am hers but I don't know if we should be together anymore. I don't want to not jave her in my life, but I can't spend forever arguing like this. I don't want to be alone but I also don't know if I can do this much longer. I wouldn't even know how to end it because this was my first serious relationship where we have lived together, etc. I just don't know what to do or how to do it.

More or less. In 2011 he was in complete idgaf mode. Then he got a GF (they've since broken up, he's a ladies man. I have first hand accounts of that) and then Tyrann happened and he's gone incognito.


I haven't even stepped in an actual class at LSU yet and i'm already in the loop. smh.

Before you end it, wouldn't you want to have a serious sit down with her and try to work things out so things can improve? You sound like you still love her, people can change but you have to work at this as a team. Seems like alcohol is a common theme in these arguments, people become very different after they consume a good amount of alcohol and do things in an altered state of mind that they end up regretting. Maybe you both can make a promise cut out the recreational drinking after one drink?

All I'm saying is know your limits. If you know you guys start to lose it after a few drinks and just end up going off on each other cut it off after one drink, or cut it out all together.

It's actually really neat to know someone who knows Mett on that level. It's Marcus Kennard, btw. He was a receiver that graduated from Texas Tecg this year.

Based on what he said, A&M tried REALLY hard to get both of them in sort of a package deal. But Mett was pretty much dead set on Baton Rouge. During Marcus' recruitment, some snafu happened and he couldn't get in at LSU, so he decided on Tech since it was closer to home.

Aw man, sorry to hear that news. Been through a similar-ish thing, engaged and broken up. We fixed our problems and our relationship has thrived since but I can remember the pain in the meantime. It rocked my world... It's tough when you invest your life into another and then suddenly it's over. Picking up the pieces is a good way of putting it.

You know where you can vent man.

PM sent. Interested to hear how you guys worked through it and came through the tunnel together.

As for everyone else, this is why I made the post in here. I knew I'd get solid advice and I really do appreciate the posts.

I spoke with my sister about it this afternoon, she had found out from my mother and called to check in on me. Towards the end of the conversation she asked me a question, is there a part of me that still wants her? If so, is that part of me big enough to fight for the relationship. It got me thinking and it made me realize I do want to fight for it. I don't know how long I'll fight for it. Only thing I know is that I will regret not fighting for this one.

We spoke for a couple of hours tonight as I went to see her to fight for the relationship or at the very least get closure and I left the ring with her. I told her that 2 years deserves more than 1 night of thought and consideration. So the ring is with her now. The end result may not change from how it is today. Then again, it might. I feel strongly enough about everything to give it a chance to be ironed out. Strangely enough I think a small amount of progress was made today.

Previous post remains virtually the same in regards to our issues. Should she decide this relationship deserves another shot, we have a few issues to work on. I think tonight showed that it's possible.

I never seem to know when people tell me where something is in that way. Is there a standard for how to say that?

Depends on how the streets are named in whatever city... there's no set format or whatever. Just means it's located at or near the intersection of those streets.

Here it depends on whether what you're looking for is on the St. or Ave. We always say it's on the St./Ave. between two of the other. And you have to designate East/West. We have many more avenues than streets - avenues go over 90 in both directions, but I think the highest street I remember seeing is 13th. I don't know, this town is built on a hill and is very confusing. Within all the numbered streets, there are little pockets of named streets as well. It's honestly a cluster****. We also have 16 zip codes, which is a ridiculous number for a city of our population.
