OS law-experts: How illegal is it for a hotel front desk employee to give a new set of keys, resetting yours, to a drunk girl and her friend because they knew your name an that you were staying there?

They had no proof they knew us aside from knowing the name the room was under, no permission or anything...the front desk person just have them a new set of keys.

It seems really illegal and when, after we kicked the two girls out because they ended up smoking in the room and we didn't want to get kicked out, the night manager said it was a federal crime an ****.

So, my friend is calling the GM today and was looking to figure out how illegal it was and what he can get comped.

That's pretty damn illegal and it shows you that the Hotel employes some really unprofessional people. Was anything of major value stolen from your friends room?

Nope. They stole (and opened) a condom from his bag for no reason whatsoever, and they smoked weed in the room which is obviously incredible illegal and could've gotten us kicked out and charged more for the room and all of that.

He's still waiting to hear from the GM. The night manager last night made it sound like it was a lock we'd, at least, get the room refunded, so that'll be nice.

And it's a Hilton Hotel, so they have a reputation to uphold and everything. It's not like it was some sleeze-bag motel or something.

Somehow my wife downloaded Optimizer Pro and Mix DJ on her PC. I've searched how to get rid of these, but there are conflicting ways. Some say download this or that to remove, but I'm afraid it might be another virius.


Anyone got any idea how to remove these?

First try add/remove and run spybot or other malware software. If it was a virus, it would have been caught already. Hopefully spybot will pick up something.
