Re: News that make you say WTF?
Policy policies and procedures are like traffic laws. You can find some small way somebody messed up if you are really out to get them.
I feel confident saying there will be an out of court settlement with this guy. The language in that "interview" was just posturing for litigation.
He told the station, “My family was scared; pain, suffering, everything, it just breaks you down.”

Re: News that make you say WTF?
Facebook strikes again. Wow, she only had a few weeks left too. Now she might end up in jail for 3 months.
The latest news and headlines from Yahoo News. Get breaking news stories and in-depth coverage with videos and photos.
Back in 2012, Colleen Cudney was convicted for drunken driving. As part of her punishment, she was put on probation, and so on the day after St. Patrick’s Day, the 22-year-old was ordered to come to her Westland, Michigan probation office for a random breathalyzer test. She managed to pass it and celebratedthe good news on Facebook. That Facebook post, as WDIV Local 4 News reports, was a pretty stupid move.
Investigators told WDIV she posted, “Buzz killer for me, I had to breatalyze this morning and I drank yesterday but I passed thank god lol my dumba**." There’s a lot of problems with this status update. Why don’t we go over them?
• It’s “buzzkill,” not “buzz killer.”
• I know you meant “breathalyze,” but that isn’t a word.
•OH AND YOU AREN’T SUPPOSED TO BE DRINKING BECAUSE YOU WERE CONVICTED FOR DRUNK DRIVING.
Cudney’s post gained the attention of a Westland police officer, who then notified the probation office. Did the probation office then say something like, “Oh well, she got us. She wins this round”? Nope. They called her up and told Colleen they wanted her to take a urine test, something that would detect whether she had had alcohol in the previous 80 hours. Colleen then…hung up on the probation officer. You’re not supposed to do that.
Hanging up the phone on the probation official was a probation violation. And to think, her probation was set to end in a few weeks. Colleen Cudney will be back in court on April 1 for a probation hearing and faces up to 3 months in jail.Comment

Re: News that make you say WTF?
Apparently a high school in Plymouth may have to tear down their new baseball seats because someone filed a complaint that the baseball team got to upgrade their seating and scoreboard (which was apparently funded by the parents and not the school) but the softball team (which didn't hold any type of fundraisers and have apparently not tried to raise any money) didn't get any upgrades.
Earlier, Prep Rally brought you the story of Plymouth (Mich.) Salem High soccer coach Scott Duhl, who was allegedly fired over a parent complaint before the start of the season. Well, across town at Plymouth (Mich.) High, another complaint has the Michigan prep sports community equally as fired up. Six years ago, parents of Plymouth (Mich.) High baseball players raised money and built stadium seating themselves to watch from above a black chain-link fence that made spectating difficult, according to WJBK-TV. The parents also installed a new scoreboard for the Plymouth baseball field.--
Have you ever wanted to coach or play basketball at the next level, but something prevented you from achieving that dream? Fret no more. Ask me about SimWorld Hoops to see how you can create your virtual self, and follow your path from the prep-level to the pros.

Re: News that make you say WTF?
I looked at the picture in the article and said: "How the hell is that considered stadium seating?" Then I realized that's the softball field.
I'm all over the place with this one. On one hand, I can see why parents might bitch and moan that softball doesn't get anything. Heck, I'm always pissed when football and basketball get all of the attention for something, and softball/baseball never do. However, I would never once think that there would then be a reason to tear it all down! They raised the money themselves and got what I could call a private donation from the parents.
At least it will be preserved. It seems that the seats were violating disability standards though, so they might have to remedy that some other way.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: News that make you say WTF?
I could see an argument for them if the school paid for it but they didn't.
The disability thing could be an easy remedy, IMO at least, would be to add ramps. Obviously I have no idea what the stadium seating looks like so I don't know how easy it would really be.--

An Alaska man missing for more than a year was found dead in his home on Monday, according to Anchorage Police. The home had been occupied by renters for nearly a year, but they apparently had no idea the body was in the home, police said.Comment

Who has been defecating on children's slides in Ypsilanti’s Prospect Park for the past five to six months?
Ypsilanti police and city officials are hunting for the person officials have described as the “mystery pooper” as warmer weather approaches.
Officials have discovered feces on the slides so frequently that police installed a hidden camera to try to capture an image of the act.Comment
