The burgers are the side item to the Cajun Fries at 5 guys. Burgers aren't all that good to me, but the fries are delicious for sure.

5 Guys isn't good!? That's some tomfoolery right there!

I like it, but it's no better than anything else out there. The nearest 5 Guys to me is across the street from the greatest fast food burger there is.

If anyone is ever in the DFW area and I think Tulsa find a Burger Street. It's better than Whataburger, In n Out, and 5 Guys combined... It's from the same guy who created Taco Bueno.

Whataburger is by far my favorite fast food burger, I have to drive about an hour and a half for the closest one so I only get to eat there a couple times a year if I'm lucky.

And I like 5 guys food but I do think they're overrated and overpriced for what it is.

There is zero penetration on the East or West coasts, so it's been forever for me, but especially on a cold day, the fried cheese curds with a Butterburger really hits the spot.

I would say, for me, the regional fast food burger breaks down like:

West Coast: In-N-Out (originally thought "what's the difference?", but over time, the quality really showed...)

Midwest: Culver's

East Coast: Shake Shack (albeit too few locations) or maybe White Castle (although they're in the midwest as well)

When I was in college we had some cheap place right down the road, I think it was called Get Em N Go. Triple burgers were less than $2. Used to take back the empty cans/bottles and use the deposit on a bag of burgers, great hangover food.

Burgers are not even close to being the same. There are so many things that go into making a great burger starting with the cut of beef, seasoning, how done it is, how it is cooked, the toppings, the bun, the cheeses.

Seriously, there is no way that "almost all burgers are the same." Im a huge burger fanatic and there are so many different ways a burger can be done.

Culver's Butterburgers are amazing. Now that I think about it, I think Culver's has better burgers than 5 Guys.
