Re: Uncommon Opinions
You are missing the point of why I would bet most people at OS probably use it. To follow sports reporters. If you only follow friends then it's no more useful than Facebook since it's only status updates you'll be getting. I was late on the Twitter bandwagon, but all I follow are reporters and one blog I follow.Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
Twitter has become the quickest source for breaking news. That's what I like about it. Twitter was amazing the night of the Boston Bombing suspects chase. Local news accounts and regular folks we live in the area blew away any coverage the major news networks were offering.
It's also great for sporting events and things like award shows. Fastest source to keep up with music releases. It all depends on who you follow and how you use it.Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
Of my 66.8k tweets (I know, I know) I think one of them ended up on Facebook once.
Facebook seems so much formal. I don't give two ****s if I blow up your Twitter timeline with stupidity.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: Uncommon Opinions
Depends on how informed you want to be. I found the the SC app only did big breaking news updates of your team. Twitter or the BleacherReport app (which essentially just feeds off Twitter) can be customized to weed out crap you don't care about. You can more news on a daily basis since you can follow actual team insiders. If you want to avoid Twitter, try the BleacherReport app.Comment

Oh and the Scorecenter app gave me updates on the Olympics as well as LeBron's 61 point game; neither which are in my "favorites".Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
But then he'll have to read Bleacher Reports TMZ/High-school drama articles.
For the cross-posting I was referring more to "official" accounts for bands, news, etc.
