Id much rather some apple juice from a sippy cup than to casually drink alcohol without the intent to get drunk. I mean why else would I drink such ****ty tasting beverages?

Re: Uncommon Opinions
I don't think I've been drunk or even gotten a buzz for like... 2-3 years now.
Though the only alcohol we ever have anymore is when a wild beer appears or we have some wine with dinner.
Getting drunk is stupid to me now, not that it was always that way.badComment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
I enjoy drinking some Captain and Cokes and playing FIFA.
I actually love the taste of that particular mix drink. I'm pretty sure that's well documented on here. I couldn't begin to count the number of half gallons I've purchased. I have one in my freezer now.
I love the taste of Tequila too, with or without the margarita mix.
I only drink once/week on average. I've cut back a lot to get back into shape. Now I get hassled all the time about going out..Last edited by AUChase; 06-22-2014, 01:46 AM.Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
To me, saying "beer is disgusting" or "wine is disgusting" is like saying "food is disgusting".
Now drink a natty light (you should be buying nat ice if you're going for drunk) and tell me it's disgusting and I'll agree with you, but there's so many different ways to make wines or brews that lumping it all together isn't realistic. There are wines that taste like dessert and beers that taste like watermelon or coffee. There's also some of both that taste like gym socks.
Maybe it's an acquired taste but did everybody enjoy the 1st vegetable they ate? I sure as hell didn't but I like quite a few now.Last edited by Mabster; 06-22-2014, 01:57 AM.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: Uncommon Opinions
I love beer. I've really grown to appreciate different styles going to school in Asheville (3 time Beer Capital of the US when I was in school) and then moving to Denver. One of my favorite things is getting home from a long day out and grabbing a cold beer.. my fridge is rarely without a 6 pack at least.Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
I've been spoiled with very good wine and I'm a big fan of good beer but I'd honestly pick an ice cold soda over either all things equal.Comment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
For those who say "blank" sport is boring, I'm willing to bet you don't understand it (and that's fine).
I have a friend I work with who HATED baseball. He'd rather have surgery that have to watch the game. One night we were on duty together and I was watching a game…he asked me how I could watch grown men throwing a ball around with no action. I asked him to sit down with me and I'd explain in detail EVERYTHING going on in ONE at bat. So he did…and he was blown away at everything that was going on. The cat and mouse game with the runner, the defensive positioning as the count changed, the thought process of the hitter, the catcher/pitcher working together. He ended up finishing the game with me and later got some books on baseball…he now understands the game and loves it, watches/listens to it on his own time.
My point is I'm willing to bet most of the things we find 'boring' are really things we just don't understand..."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

Re: Uncommon Opinions
No baseball is just boring to watch. I can see your point if I use soccer for example. But not baseball.Last edited by kingkilla56; 06-23-2014, 12:48 AM.Comment

I grew up around hockey with friends that played (and loved) hockey. I played plenty of pick-up hockey games. Wisconsin has plenty of hockey players/fans.
It's just boring to me because it's not my cup of tea. Some "boring" calls come from ignorance, but not necessarily anywhere near the majority.
It's the exact same with video games. Sports video games (outside of FM) bore me. It's not because I don't understand how to play, or am bad at them (though I am probably the worst Madden player in the world by now). They just don't interest me.badComment
