I think you're giving Skip too much credit. IMO he's a blowhard that 99% of people don't care about except for sports fans who complain on forums.

No idea how uncommon this is, but it's timely. I don't understand Halloween excitement. Costumes, ghosts, ghouls, zombies, spooky-type stuff...don't get it. At all.

I can watch scary/horror movies, so it's not an opposition to anything like that. I just don't get the big deal about the holiday.

I'm sure some of you will find this weird, but I can't listen to anyone on First Take, but I enjoy listening to Cowherd from time to time.

I'm not going to pretend like I'm big into Halloween, but as a kid I absolutely loved it. Now it seems like you can't even trust taking your kids down the road to get candy without fear of them getting poisoned. Now people take their kids to police departments, fire departments, churches, fall festivals, etc. and a lot of people don't even take their kids out anymore.

I know some people say it's just because I'm older now, but the holiday really isn't what it used to be. My own grandmother has decorated her house and yard for every holiday including Easter since I was a little kid. She still decorates some, but she doesn't put the same effort in anymore because not many kids come by like they used to.

It's just an excuse to get drunk, and I'm cashing in on it.

Man, I wasn't even into it as a kid. My parents would occasionally ask if I wanted to Trick or Treat or anything, but nah. Did it a couple times, but that was that.

I really like this stretch of Thanksgiving-Christmas-New Years, even more that I've grown up and do the decorating myself. Was cool to help dad as a kid, but much better calling the shots now. Doesn't hurt that lights have gotten cooler either. Got these LED icicle lights with 12 settings. Left them up till July just for the payoff of turning on the red/white/blue setting for a day.

I'll stop now though, as I assume liking Christmas is fairly common, so technically off-topic; and have to save material for the inevitable Christmas thread.

I missed the above comments, I have to be honest, I really didn't know there was anyone on this planet that liked Skip, he knows nothing.

I like stale and chewy graham crackers, Nillas, and Cheetos.

All good when they are 'aired' out for a few days Not stale like old, moldy and nasty. Just a little softer and chewy.

According to my own experiences, that's an uncommon opinion lol.

I don't know about Cheetos, but I definitely agree with you on Nilla wafers.

Ugh... I can't stand anything that's stale to the point where it gets soft and not crunchy. I have to throw it out if it gets to that point

I was at a costume party last weekend and was getting hit on real hard by a gay guy there. It actually started getting uncomfortable because he was saying some weird ****.

It can be awkward, on one hand you appreciate the compliment, but on the other hand you still have to let the guy know you're straight, without knowing 100% whether other not the comment was meant as flirtation. Sometimes it's ambiguous and you have to tread lightly.
