As far as football movies go, The Program is a personal favorite. I've always been a fan of The Longest Yard (1974) but the remake sucked. For more modern ones, Remember the Titans is really underrated.

Baseball has better movies overall than football does though.

Speaking of baseball movies, how come majority of them never show them winning the world series? Its always for the penant, or making the playoffs but never shows the last game being the world series.

Guilty pleasure sports movie: Eddie. Loved the soundtrack when I was a kid. Movie overall is like a compilation of every bad sports movie cliche, but the stuff with Rodman was funny, and I like the part with Gary Payton and Anthony Mason as streetballers.

Just in general terms I personally think because baseball is thought to be more than just winning a tittle. Its about the Journey or grind if you'd prefer.

Agree with Field of Dreams being overrated, theres hardly any baseball in it and the further you get away from that time era the cornier it becomes.

The Program is a really, really enjoyable movie. That and Any Given Sunday are probably my favorite football movies.

As far as baseball movies go, I love The Natural. It's basically a tall tale meets baseball movie. I'm all about it.

Sports movies in general. In a sports movie, 5 seconds takes approximately 30-45 seconds.
